    Really rough night

This is so frustrating... putting it mildly. I am writing this after a 2 hr rage with TRex. I don't understand what happened. Her big sister was in town over the weekend and we expected an issue when she left, which we got. Got ugly Sunday night. A big part of the responsibility for that...

    difficult child's that over-exaggerate physical/medical complaints

Does anyone else have a difficult child that over-exaggerates medical complaints? Goes to the nurses office beyond frequently? That almost daily has at least one physical complaint? That will even resort to slightly injuring themselves so that they can go see the nurse (since that's been thwarted with...

    Experience with Trileptal?

My son has just been weaned off of Depakote because it was causing him to have pretty bad tremors. The doctor now wants to start him on Trileptal. Does anyone have any experience with this drug? He'd be using it along with Abilify (20 mg) and Wellbutrin.

Considering Prozac for my almost 8 year old

How many others know any good and/or bad affects of Prozac in children? I've been reading some online articles. Our psychiatrist says that she has research that has shown alot of positive things about it. We've tried ADHD medications, depakote, guanfacine and some things have worked for a while but...

Second meeting with the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Met today for the second time with the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She still does not paint a pretty picture. Says the son has so much rage and anger, and is definitely ODD with depression. She said if things do not change for him, by the time he reaches adulthood there is no doubt he will end up in jail from...

    Anger Regression

Little Bear has been doing better than he ever has with his new medication change, except one problem cropped up again late last week and it has me worried. His rages have shortened to about 15min and are more infrequent then they had been. However, he is getting more violent during his rages...

    Tigger suspended

Tigger has been suspended for the week for hitting a teacher during a rage. When I asked the teacher what triggered the rage she said " I don't know". Okay, the whole point of an emotional support classroom is that they can intervene before the meltdown. Uuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhh! Tigger said...

A few nights ago difficult child's psychiatrist increased her risperdal to help with sleep issues and what appears to be a disconnection from reality.
