Q, while in foster care, went to the neurologist they all used thru the county. He was prescribed seizure medications for starting seizures at 1 and his developmental milestones took a turn, plus he started head banging etc. He never did any testing. Just prescribed seizure medications and clonidine for aggression. It took over a year and the school finally helped the foster mom get through to social services and they authorized a different neurologist at Rainbow Babies hospital. That guy sent him for a CAT scan THAT appointment, no passing go, went in an ambulance right there, (his head was huge by the way, now perfect shape and totally normal but was the size of an 8 yr old child at age 2) they didn't have the right folks so sent him again, ALONE, in ambulance for surgery. These kids are truly failed. His foster mom told them over and over, this is not just attachment struggles from losing mom and dad, he is dying. she was right. She had done this and even adopted a difficult child herself, for over 30 years. They didn't listen.
