Well.......I talked to some GRANDMA aged women about it today. Mostly about the costumes since everyone already has said in unison that the dance mooves were too hoochie coochie for seven and wee agree on that. Women in their 70's said that if the dance moves had been non-sexual in their representation - without the grinding, and gyrating...and humping (their words not mine) the costumes would NOT have been a problem to them. They would have been like little belly dancer costumes. However - you put those costumes with all the hoochie-coochie moves.....and voila - instant no no. So Now the question goes back to 1.) DID they get what they wanted? ATTENTION DRAWN to themselves? yes. 2.) Was it negative attention? YES. 3.) If they come out now with ADORABLE COSTUMES and slow it down a bit - and do age appropriate things - would you let them be on DISNEY? 4.) If they were on DISNEY and doing age appropriate things with ADORABLE, DECENT costumes - would YOUR little girl be able to watch them? HMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm????? Think about THAT marketing strategy - Because EVERY SINGLE MOTHER IN AMERICA wil think that THEIR adverse opionion of the first 2 dances and costumes CHANGED these girls BUT...........they STILL get showcased on NATIONAL TV......and ..........are stars...... THEN WHAT????? WOULD YOU LET YOUR DAUGHTERS DO THEIR CUTE DANCES AND BUY THEIR CUTE OUTFITS????
