I would not have thought of the insurance angle. So maybe your receipt is all you need. I would probably just be quiet about it and let it go, unless I was contacted by the city office. If they wanted me to pay again because the check was lost, I probably would because it seems like the right thing to do (you would not be paying twice, it would only come out of your account once), although I doubt if you could be held legally responsible as you do have a receipt that says you paid.</p></blockquote><p></p>
