We got our first postcard from difficult child.

He says, "This camp is alright so far."
    Hey, could be worse. :)

I think I enabled him by pre-addressing and stamping postcards to ourselves but I really wanted to hear from him ... :smug:

He also wrote in big script, "Love ya!"

"camp is alright so far" is kidspeak for "You know, I really am having a good time, but I'm not going to tell you that and give you the satisfaction of thinking that you were right".

Great news. "Camp is alright" is code for "I like it, I'm having a good time" He just wont tell you that!!! Smart to give him self addressed stamped postcards!!!

Good for you and him, hope to hear of more positive notes in the near future. :)

LOL! Yup, I do think that is Kid Speak for "I'm having a good time but don't want to admit it."

I'm trying to write him every day.
