G'day,everyone.
Linda, enjoy your respite. I know it helps you recharge your batteries.
Sharon/LDM, I could sure use some pampering. As for ironing the hair - mine already looks like it's been ironed. Totally straight and very fine, it's not hair I can do much with. I'd love to dye it again, but I think I need to avoid as much chemical exposure as possible at the moment.
Sharon/Wiped, I am appalled at those temperatures! We had a freezer at work that was -30C. We had a lot of strict safety rules to follow, before we were allowed to go near it. Enjoy that movie!
husband & difficult child 3 came with me this morning for my liver ultrasound. husband shopped afterwards for our Asian cooking supplies while we waited for the report. After that we went to the big shopping centre, had a coffee together, sent difficult child 3 off to buy himself some pizza while we snuck into his favourite store and bought his birthday present - a roll-up jigsaw puzzle mat.
Then it was time to see my new GP with the ultrasound report (which I'd already read).
Good news - no blockages, no tumours. Bad news - we don't know what it could be, so it's off to the liver specialist.
Got home - to the first symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), so it was ring the doctor, check what to do with her (and let her know) then get the pathology organised and start antibiotics. Luckily we were prepared, with prescription filled and pathology order form already filled out. Also rang the urologist.
So now in a week or so, I'm seeing my kidney specialist then the next day seeing the liver specialist. In between, easy child 2/difficult child 2 is having a gastroscopy (same liver specialist).
The antibiotics seem to be sedating me, I'm not sure if I'm beginning to itch (early allergy signs?) and tomorrow is Australia Day, our big public holiday, it's like 4th July for the US. And it's also difficult child 3's birthday. Luckily we planned ahead and got him to help choose a cake from the shop. husband had offered to bake one (he is a good cook) but we just figured, why add to the workload? Who knows what to expect?
I am so over seeing doctors, but I'm stuck with them for a while now, until we sort this lot out.
easy child & BF1 are moving tomorrow, they were also hoping to stay overnight tomorrow night so they could have a quick visit for difficult child 3's birthday. I'm not sure if they will have time - here's hoping the moving van gets packed up and off nice and early tomorrow, so we can have a slightly longer visit. A late departure from Canberra will mean too big a rush for the kids to visit on their way through. As it is, we might only see easy child, not BF1.
Here's hoping we get some sleep tonight - I think we will all need it!
