Most schools have a no bullying policy, and they need to enforce it to the max here. Teach those kids a lesson too. I think most of us have dealt with our difficult child's being teased. It hurts, it really does, but I don't see how we really have to think about this. A lot of us on this board will call the police if our kids harm us, unfortunately it's the only way they seem to learn. I would hate to see a headline that a young boy choked to death his classmate in fit of rage due to teasing/bullying. How awful.
I would have called the police immediately and would not have thought twice about it. If I had two kids at home and my kid choked the other because he was being teased. To the point of unconsiousness!!!!! How did he know that he hadn't choked him to death? He didn't. Bottom line. Consequences. My child hits me at home, I am calling the police. This kid is out of control totally and needs help. I would make sure that he got it. I hate that he was teased, I hate bullying. It can result in many suicides and so many other mental health issues, but to be choked to unconsiousness for it. Nope. Maybe his parent's won't call the police and thus he hasn't learned the lesson to keep his hands off of people and their necks. I would hate to see a headline that a young boy choked to death his classmate in fit of rage due to teasing/bullying. How awful.
