Allegations of abuse?

I knew a woman who was in a very similar situation. She had 3 kids for a while and then the 4th one came along about 5 years later. Her first three where very close in age....stair steps. The oldest was a girl and then two boys. She had them quite young and she used to let them spend quite a bit of time with her mom and the guy who was mom's long term boyfriend who the kids called grandpa. It turned out that when Grandma was away, Grandpa played. At first it was grooming. He would stroke the kids and get them to pet each other. He encouraged the kids to mutually fondle each other. This was when they were quite small. The youngest was still in diapers. As they got older, the girl was his special project. By the time she was 8 or so, he had her touch him. Gifts were flowing. As the boys reached that age, he was plying them with porn and sips of beer. When the girl reached puberty he was molesting her completely and he had started really showing the boys explicit porn and the beer had turned booze. The boys were fondly him and each other. My friend had a younger boy by then and I dont think he messed with him because he was very involved with his father and was going to his father's house every other weekend and he was afraid he would spill the beans. About the time the oldest daughter turned 13/14, my friend married a man with 3 daughters. The youngest one was attachment disordered in some way and perhaps had some Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) because her mother left her in her crib until she was 3 years old and paid her absolutely no attention. The father got full custody of the kids in the divorce when the youngest was 3 and a half and they got married as soon as the divorce was final. My friends oldest boy started abusing his youngest step-sister when she was 4 but no one found out about it until she finally got the verbal skills to tell when she was about 6. He was 15. I ended up taking him in for about 3 months while she found a Residential Treatment Center (RTC) for sexual offending teens.

It is not a pretty sight what all this can do. I have lost touch with this family. The mother was a mess, the grandmother threw the boyfriend out but he was charged with a multitude of charges and Im sure is still in jail in TX. Because the oldest boy never got charged because they all agreed to get him help through the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and me taking him in while they looked for one, he ended up going into the army. I have never heard from him again. I am said about that. His younger brother who was abused ended up on drugs. I have no idea about the 3 girls from the husband. He died and his family is raising them. The whole family split up. The oldest girl last I heard had two kids for an illegal mexican.
