Asking for good thoughts/prayers for a difficult child and her family

My former friend (long story) has a sister with developmental disabilities who has two kids. Her eldest, a girl, is in fifth grade and is also developmentally disabled. I ran into the sister at the grocery store and she told me she had her daughter to the emergency room and she has diagnosis'd with anorexia. I saw the girl at school and she looks like she has lost a lot of weight since the new year.

I have very little contact with this family any longer but I do hope this child will be okay and that her mother will be able to find and have delivered the necessary services and treatments to help this girl. I'm not in a position to offer advice but I thought we could send supporting thoughts anyway.
