I think you'll be pleasantly surprised what a good hair stylist can do. About 10 years ago, I went to have my roots touched up. I didn't really need a full set of highlights. Anyway, to make a long story short, I came out looking like I had a red bowl around the top of my head.
I was so upset but didn't want the person who did it to try and fix it. I went home and made an emergency appointment with someone else.
I was amazed at the results!!! Absolutely no sign of the red bowl look. And, my hair looked better than it had in a long time.
As others have already said, there are lots of pretty styles where the front and sides are longer than the back. My hair stylist wore her hair that way for a long time and she looked beautiful!!! WFEN

Well, its cut, but its raining here, so my curly hair isn't allowing me to fix it. I think its okay, but I prefer longer hair. For now I'm just relieved its not pulling on my head and giving me a headache.
