Bald Eagles in Indiana of all places!

I found out recently that we have a family of Bald Eagles living just outside of town. I didn't realize that they were even in this area of the country. So husband and I went out to where they are to look at them. You can't get real close but close enough to see the nest and the bird(s) in the nest. (and the nest is HUGE!) I took some pictures (I hope they show up big enough) but I really needed a camera with a better zoom than the one I have. We only saw one adult (supposedly there is at least one baby) but I think we saw the other one flying. It was too far away to tell though.

That is so cool! I once saw one flying above my head- about 25 feet above my head- and I was enthralled! Thanks for sharing the photos! They are truly beautiful.

Well how cool!!! Even though we are a migratory route for Bald Eagles and some stay and nest right in our front yard!!! I still run outside and watch in awe anytime one flies by!!! They are so much bigger than I ever realized! And the nests!!! You could get in it.

I was told there are some her in Ohio too. I remember because I hadn't expected them this far east. Haven't seen any though. But we have some beautiful red tailed hawks that live in the neighborhood.
