I found this book, "A Different Kind of Happy: Finding Everyday Joy & Understanding with an Autistic Child" as I was browsing through Amazon. It was written by a mom and seems aimed at young children (picture book style with maybe a sentence per page).
I don't know if anyone would find it useful, but it might help explain the issues with classmates or a young sibling. Just a thought - I have only read the 'look inside' part available for free so this is not a recommendation based on liking the book, fyi.
