A bit of fun to reinforce the world wide nature of the web.

    I was sent this link

Official Ottawa Greek Festival (GreekFest) Flash Mob - YouTube

by a Dutch who is the cousin of an emigre former workmate.

My mate left the place about 18 months ago to work in Indonesia but I am still in touch with him - via his cousin. A mutual friend of theirs in Ottawa sent the link.

My father has a Greek god brother due to experiences in WWII so Greek culture always gets my Scottish toes tapping.

    Go figure - have funnnnnn!

Wish it was close enough to go...

Trinity is closer - as are a few others (hmmm... off top of head.... Mamaof5 is another, and ready2run - but my mind is going blank because I don't categorize by location on this board...)

Hopefully the other Canadians will see this too!

Greek pavilion was always one of my favorites at the Folk Festivals (celebrations of various cultures - a Canadian Multi-cultural thing)

    Lamb souvliki anybody?

    Oh yum!

The video called it a "flash mob" but in my experience, they don't have to organize it that carefully. That dancing will happen naturally as long as one person starts.
