It might be worth getting the Minister of Health involved as well, directly rather than going through the ombudsman. </p><p>When my difficult child had an issue with his health card renewal earlier this year (need a driver's license to renew, can't get a driver's license because of his disability, can't renew without the DL...), the local MP worked closely with the Minister of Health and between them they changed the provincial regulations. (Have you heard of that new special ID card for non-drivers?
