Thank you, Gcvmom. This is especially helpful for me as difficult child 2 keeps being treated by AP's only. It is very helpful to have this information. I'm going to forward the article to his mom.

When I have a minute, I'm going to post the brand name of the medications mentioned, as a lot of these medications only come in brand name at this time and a lot of us (myself included) don't know the generic name.

I posted too soon...I see the list at the bottom of the article.

What concerns me is this study is done with children with Bipolar I, but they are treating Bipolar II (at least in difficult child 2's case) the same.

More questions for the psychiatrist...
