Conferences

Well, I saw Q at school today, he came down to the library to get some books from the book fair and he ran up to me, gave me a hug, asked for certain books and accepted the limit.......................all in all a huge success.

Then I went to conferences and got a little freaked because two people came.,..but it was two I am ok with... the speech therapist and the behavior specialist and they just sat and backed up the improved school work Q has been doing (pretty ironic isn't it) I got a huge stack of papers and he did some really nice work.

It was just what I wanted, to just talk about what he was doing, how he was doing it etc. he seemed to have a good day. I thought he had a sore throat the last couple of days from his screaming and that is what he told me but this morning I felt like I was getting a sore throat and he actually asked the nurse for some tylenol so I am afraid we may be getting a bug. I n all of the strep tests he has had strep ONCE when he was in third grade! He does get sore throats, especially since he had mono. I usually dont and I do today... a little achy too.... skin, joints, etc.

So, hopefully we will be fine for tomorrow...

He can't eat from this moment on... then at 8:15 we ahve the blood draw. I will take him out for breakfast as a reward for the blood test and then we go see that school (they have school but Q is off due to conference schedules). I asked our Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) workers if anyone was free to meet us there and so Q's favorite will meet us and the new coordinator will be there too to walk thru with me. He had worked at an independent sp ed district prior to this so said he will compare things while there.

I will let you guys know how the visit goes... will be interesting to see if there are any "codes or schedules" called. Hope not.

How wonderful is that. I LOVE positive conferences. I am glad Q had a good day. THEY need to see that. As for the sore throat thing.....yeah....it's a bug. It's gone around down here as well as bad head colds. It's only normal for our bugs to follow the wind and head your way. LOL

Good luck tomorrow and DEFINITELY let us know what Q and the others think. I'll be thinking about you and praying all goes well.....during the visit at least!!!
