I have to agree with the others: don't poke the bear! Please find a way to co-operate with CPS. You'll be ruining the credibility of the reporter when you show that your family's life is an open book. You have much more important issues to deal with than standing on your principles and voicing your righteous indignation. Some of our members have even found valuable assistance for their difficult children after CPS was called in by being qualified for programs they didn't even know existed.

I guess, with all your anger right now, that you need to ask yourself the following question about not co-operating:

Who does this serve?

Will dragging out an investigation help difficult child? Or easy child? husband? You?

This report is an annoyance to be dealt with as swiftly and as painlessly as possible... not dragged out. Expedience is called for here.
