http://www.nytimes.com?2001/07/01/books/rebel-without-a-cause.html?s I read this excerpt from her book The Stardust Lounge- about her struggles with her adolescent son. It hit home with the struggles I have with my son. I have not read the entire book only excerpts on the internet. She is a talented writer and poetic about the struggles she faces in trying to help him grow up and be safe and find himself as a maturing adult. I found the discussion of the therapists approach to dealing with her and her son thought provoking. The therapists stressed who she was and her own ways in dealing with him and respected and valued her as a person.
