Okay difficult child went to a christian summer camp last week, She left on Sunday and returned home on Friday night . I went to go pick her up and she won camper of the week. a 300.00 certificate to go back next year. She was so happy and proud of herself and so was I. I couldnt believe that she got a long so well and boy has she been nice at home. I've not been able to get around to well and she has been right there without complaint. She did say I don't think I deserved to win. I wonder why they chose me. I said evidently you did and don't sell yourself short, you are an amazing kid. I had brought her a small bouquet of flowers when I picked her up. That shocked her too.

That's GREAT, Jody. Sometimes an event like that really improves future choices. Congrats! DDD

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, they say.
These kinds of outside (i.e. non-family) positive experiences have multiple times the impact on a difficult child... and far more impact that all the negatives in the world.

Wow.
