Hi Jen! Does your difficult child have an IEP? If so, this needs to be addressed through the IEP that you are notified of any reasons (nurse visits, changes in curriculum, changes in scheduling) difficult child leaves the normal routine of the day. It is not up to this teacher to question your need for details about your daughter's day. If she had difficult child's best interest in mind, it would never be a question of withholding information from you. She needs to work with you, not create her own agenda on what is best for difficult child. You can ask the doctor who gave the diagnosis for some literature that you can give to this teacher. I hope difficult child doesn't have a terribly hard time getting to school tomorrow morning. This newest event will add to her already school refusal level since she can not plan her day ahead of time if the teacher is going to pull this on her. The teacher could have atleast walked her to the classroom.
