Does anyone know...transportation for ESY?

Wee qualifies for ESY.

Is the school responsible for transport to and from? I can't recall.

My son is transported daily (out of district program) so they also provide transportation for ESY. I'd check with your Director of Pupil Services.

I'm all for doing ESY, but I can't leave work, pick him up, drive him to the district, wait and hour and a half, take him back to daycare, and go back to work every day.

They ahve to transport in district for the regular school year...hm...

His daycare is at the early intervention preschool he went to (contracted by our home district) when he was 3-5. I had asked about him receiving services there, and they aren't willing because they provide services in district...

Gonna have to check on this one...

difficult child #1 is transported for ESY...on an air conditioned bus--lol.

and has been for 12+ years, two home districts, and upteen ESY programs.

but its written into his iep...not sure what the law is regarding it.

Shari, it would need to be written into his IEP under "Related Services."

SW is correct - the IEP should have transportation (door to door preferably) included.

Here, if the SD deems it necessary for ESY, SD provides transportation.
