Our easy child son is ALWAYS very appreciative of EVERYTHING we do for him...little things or big things. He always says thank you and almost always adds that it was not necessary and it grateful. He understands that he is an adult and he is expected to pull his weight. I do believe this is why he has gotten far in his young adult life. We are happy to do what we can for him. (Crossing myself/lighting a candle. I am GRATEFUL for him.).
difficult child...almost always the opposite situation. Right now (it is a work in progress), I will be a tad more lenient for xmas and her birthday. But that is about it.
