Years ago, when Kanga was 13, the psychiatric hospital psychiatrist said that she would be a very interesting case study as he had never had a patient as mentally ill as she was that did not also have substance abuse problems. He hoped that it would increase her chances of a positive adult outcome. We did everything we could. She hit 18 without a substance abuse issue and not pregnant.
It has been two weeks since she turned 18. TLP picked her up last night in the worst part of their town, she was high as a kite. Guess it was always meant to be.
