easy child update - he saw the therapist

flutterby

Fly away!
He seemed to like her and the appointment went well. He wouldn't go to the appointment without me and he needed a bit of prompting at first, but he opened up - as much as could be expected. He seemed to feel better after the appointment and made another for next week.

However, by later in the evening, he was feeling pretty low again. The classic depression symptoms - not wanting to do anything, no enjoyment from activities that normally bring enjoyment, etc - are quite prominent.

So, tomorrow he is scheduling an appointment with the doctor for an AD. If he's willing to do that PLUS therapy, he's really feeling lousy. I'm just really glad that he's willing to take steps to do something about it now.

I am glad he went, and glad that he had you for support. The first step is getting there, and that can be the hardest step. Good for easy child.
