Ever look at a happy difficult child or even easy child and worry?

I know that sounds strange. But in our twisted life where we have been so accustomed to people being DOWN or when they are up they are up, Up, UP and it's downright scary... sometimes I don't know what to do with normal happiness in my kids!

I *think* we are supposed to enjoy it.

I think so too, but it's hard not to expect the other shoe to drop...

I know exactly what you mean! I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop....because it always does! difficult child will have a good day (or 2) and I will get all hopeful that he is finally stabilizing but I have learned not to read to much into those good days because it just doesn't last. All I can do is be VERY thankful for the good days that he has. :)

Yep-In my case I wonder what she wants or if she is about to go AWOL. Her happiness use to be about getting something or her bliss just before she runs off. I do agree we should enjoy it but... With teens, it is often hard to do if they have a bad track record. If it is normal happiness though, take the moment and enjoy.
