Funny camp story

Just wanted to put this on a different thread, since it's ... uh, different ...
;)

difficult child said that one day at camp, they were opening a can of chili with-a can opener. He knew better, but pried open the lid with-his finger instead of using a utensil, and slit his finger with-the edge of the lid. (been there done that!!! Good way to end up in the ER! )
:surprise:
He shouted and shook his hand, and gunk went all over the countertop.
Counselor gasped, grabbed difficult child's wrist and RAN him immediately to the spigot, where she rinsed off his finger to see how much of it was missing.

None of it. That was a chili bean on the countertop.

Eooouw! LOL.
difficult child said they don't do stitches there, just butterfly bandages. Uh, yeah ...:embarrassed:

He's a lucky difficult child even if he did murder a chili bean. I did something similar and it took four stitches to close the wound.

Wonder how long it'll take for the counselor to recover from the shock, though.

LOL. I hope she's used to that sort of thing.
Sorry about your stitches, GoingNorth. I've had a similar thing happen but didn't have to get stitches. Took me 20 min. to stop the bleeding, though.
