by a minimum of 12 cents a gallon to help fund our budget deficit in Ca.

SO may have to give up his little part time job taking photos for insurance purposes. The gas is starting to cost him more than he gets paid.

And they are proposing a big ax cut for mental health services - they are near impossible to get in the first place

Yup, hike in gas tax, AND a 1 cent hike in sales tax. Which puts LA county at close to 10%!!! In my opinion, they should raise things that don't directly affect the people who live here... like the hotel tax!

Someone was also talking about taxing golf courses... but that seems discriminatory -- I mean, why stop there? What about skiers, mountain bikers, surfers, tennis players, etc.? It is just ridiculous.

I sure don't hear any politicians offering to cut their own salaries or benefits!
