I am considering going more into natural teatments for my kids. I have been looking into this for a while. Where do I get my kids (and I have a slew of them) tested for allergies or cassine and gluten sesitivities? A regular family doctor or a specialist? And I read how certain diets must be adhered to strictly, so I understand that. But what about adding supplements while staying on perscribed medications....do the perscribed medications cancel out alot of the supplements benefits? I am guessing ANY added health is better than none, but I wonder if I will see much improvement. We have adopted all from foster care and have spent years trying to get all the medications right, and we are better than we used to be, believe me. I am big on believing attachment and bonding cures alot too. My inlaws are big into natural remedies and are thereputic massage and homeopath people(own thier own business) but I have weighed it with a grain of salt all these years to see what I think of it. Some of thier beliefs are way off center to me, but I am happy to admit alot of the natural advice seems to be checking out. I am considering trying my 12 yr old girl on something for brain improvemnt...for attention and concentration to see if I see any improvements. The Prozac and Lamictal arent all that effective. Sorry this has so many questions.
