Well, we've been trying to get N in at the behavioral clinic at our children's hospital. Between the ineffectual appointments secretary and the recent holidays, we are NOT batting a thousand. We MAY be able to have him seen next Friday, but we may not. I will know later in the day. We were SUPPOSED to have gotten in THIS morning, but the secretary dragged her feet and there were no openings left when I called to ask her why she hadn't called back. I have to do all the prodding and reminding. Is this how it always will be, trying to get help for our difficult children? It seems from reading other posts on the site, this might be a normal day's work for us moms.
Getting the appointment is hell!

Once you get that initial appointment, it might get easier. I never leave the office of a doctor for any of my kids without the next appointment scheduled (if it's needed). Saves a lot of wear and tear on me as well as the doctor.
