GlaxoSmithKline fined in fraud

I'm a little confused by this ... I thought that if you used something off-label, between doctor and patient, that it was okay, with-the understanding that it may or may not work. So this drug company went several steps further, right?

If it's between doctor and patient, yes but it sounds like this company actually PROMOTED and advertised them for uses other than what the FDA approved them for without regard to risks. That is waaaaay different as far as I'm concerned.
