Good Friday morning....TGIF

:good_morning:Good morning friends & fellow warrior parents.:warrior:

We've made it to Friday! No appts - nothing to accomplish today. Just whatever whim suits my fancy. :cheerleader:

Woke up around 1 a.m. to thunderstorms - it's to be another dreary weekend. Ah well.....indoor activities for kt.

My niece is to be married tomorrow & is working hard to set up a web cam so I can be in attendance from here. I'm sorry to miss her wedding but health issues make traveling there this coming weekend out of the question.

Other than in home therapist, nothing going on here today. I had hoped to run out to art supply store but I think I'll wait until husband can drive tomorrow.

Have a fun Friday - free choice & such.

Good Morning,

Linda-How sweet of your niece and what a good idea to set up a web cam! Enjoy your day of no appointments!

The thunder you had around 1 we had around 3:30. It's suppose to rain most of the day.

We're suppose to leave for Michigan right after school but I'm not sure exactly now. easy child had a mini breakdown at school yesterday (I might post about it later) and I am going to ask if she would rather her and I stay home (she is overwhelmed right now). I was really looking forward to the weekend in Michigan as it was my idea and I love husband's family but easy child needs to come first right now.

Wishing everyone a peaceful free choice Friday!:flower:

:woohoo:Well, well, well, we made it to Free Choice Friday!

Linda, glad you have a "clean" schedule today. Nice to have a Friday like that! Hope your neice is able to video the wedding so you can share in her day. Didn't you paint a picture for their wedding gift?

Sharon, hope things are ok with easy child and you are able to settle her. If needed, a mom and daughter weekend might do the trick (and difficult child and dad might benefit from their time alone as well). Hope your work day is a good one and there is not too much worry over easy child.

Naturally I have the gym this morning and then a quick trip to the grocer on the way home. I have a lot of little things to do at the house before the kids get home from school and will need all that time to get it done. Nothing big, just a lot of little things!

difficult child has a buddy coming home from school today and easy child is lying low as she has her second SAT testing tomorrow. Her numbers on the first set were enough to get her into the college she wants, but she is seeing if she can up her math score a little! Then the boyfriend comes in town, they haven't seen each other for a couple weeks - horror of all horrors!!!!!!!!

Wishing everyone a great Friday - I hope you are able to settle in and enjoy some rest this weekend :salute:.

Good Morning Everyone:coffee:,

Linda, What a sweet niece you have - The web cam is a great idea!!! I hope your day is peaceful and restful. What kind of coffee are you drinking this morning? I've already had 3 cups but can't seem to wake up:bloodshot:... It's rainy and dreary here too - At least we don't have the thunder storms.

Sharon, I still haven't had a chance to get caught up. I'm sorry to hear about easy child. From the little I've read so far, it seems like you've got your hands full these days. I'm thinking of you and hope easy child is ok.

Sharon, I'm glad you're headed to the gym!!! As usual, it sounds like you have a busy day. I hope you're able to get some R & R this weekend too!!! I hope easy child does really well on her SAT testing tomorrow!!!

I haven't been around much at all for at least the past two weeks. I still haven't had time to catch up. I hope to have some time this weekend...

easy child is being a typical PITA teen:angry-very:!!! However, she still apologizes when she knows she is way out of line - This is a good thing!!! I miss the days when she was still innocent and a joy to be around all of the time...easy child got a dog sitting job from our neighbors across the street. This is a really good thing as she needs to learn the value of being responsible. And, she definitely can use the extra cash.

My difficult children are being, well, difficult children:angry-very:. Will update at another time. Both of them have had birthdays and now difficult child 1 is 17 and difficult child 2 is 16. I'll try to update my sig this weekend.

Today I have another appointment with my orthopedic specialist. I think it's going to be a L O N G time before I'm able to work out again... I'm having a difficult time with this. However, I'm slowly learning to relieve stress in other ways...

Well, I don't want to turn this into a mini novel. So, I hope all of you have a great day and at least one reason to laugh or at least smile:flower:WFEN

Good morning everyone. It's a glorious spring morning. Cool, sunny with a promise of 80's this afternoon. I'm going to get the outside chores done early so I won't be out in the afternoon sun.

Timer, what a great idea about the web cam. I'm sure you are disappointed. Enjoy your "stay home" day.

Wiped out, sorry to hear about easy child. An emotional outburst sounds worrisome and normal teen. I think. Not sure what a typical teen is.

Sharon, Way To Go about the gym. Hope you have a great weekend. Good for easy child about working to improve her scores.

WFEN, I'm really sorry to hear that your foot/ankle is still giving you so much trouble. I can imagine how frustrating it must be. Good luck with the ortho. Hope the teens give you a bit of peace this weekend.

easy child had an appointment. with a neurologist(horror of horrors- without his mom). Seems his eeg is normal. He suggested that at some point he should try weaning off anticonvulsants. Both easy child and I agree that he will hold off on that process until he has plenty of time off. Maybe next summer.

He will be home from school next weekend. He finished his first year of college. It was a difficult year for easy child socially. He neither drinks or does drugs and doesn't want to be around parties that have them. Add he is a bit shy and he wasn't too keen on the social world. He loved NYC but he has decided to take a year leave of absence so he can work. Needless to say, I'm not happy but I'm gluing my lips together. I promised myself that after high school that I would not impose my considerable will on what he should do unless A) it's dangerous B) I'm paying for it. I want him to have a mind of his own.
He knows how I feel but there are worse things than a son who wants to work. I am curious to see how he enjoys living on his own income. :rofl:Should be fun.

Yesterday, HoneySue had more chemo so she is a little wiped out today. She still doesn't seem too sick. The lump on her leg is still there though which reminds me that the inevitable will happen. :9-07tears:

difficult child has put in a full week of work. :dont_know:No news is good news. It's 12 n to 5PM. They are good hours for him.

That's the news from the Mrs. Fran household. Hope your Friday is fun.

G'day, people.

Linda, the web cam sounds like a lovely idea. I hope it works for you.

Sharon/Wiped, is there any way easy child could come with you? That way you wouldn't miss out on your weekend in Michigan.

Sharon/LDM, sounds like a busy day for you today despite a fairly clear schedule. I hope easy child's test goes well for her.

WFEN, there are many ways to work out. Also, there are many other ways to reduce stress. Be good to yourself.

Fran, good news about easy child's EEG. I'm glad HoneySue is still hanging in there. And not hearing any bad news from difficult child re his job - every day more, is another day to his credit.

I just got back from my second walk. husband came with me this time. It's late at night, we could see some distant flashes of lightning but I just checked the radar - it's blowing out to sea and it's over 100 km away anyhow. No speck of rain on the radar for us anywhere. My ears are aching now, from being out in the cold wind - winter is definitely here. We disturbed a small herd of deer which clattered around the corner, right where we were headed. Up ahead another couple of deer headed back into the bush. A dog that had joined us for our walk rounded the corner with us then got wind of the deer - and she was off! I don't know what she'd do with one if she caught it...

difficult child 3 is still struggling with schoolwork (English) and needs to put in some homework this weekend to finish it and to do a bit more catching up. I'm really getting anxious for this speech pathology appointment to come up.

Almost time for bed - difficult child 1 just got home after staying elsewhere for the week, with the road closures we've had. He starts work at 7.30 am in the inner city, and the extra driving for the detour was just too much, especially with the price of petrol. And thanks to the rapidly escalating price of our fuel, our food prices are rocketing up too. My vegetable garden had better start producing!

Enjoy your Friday, everyone.

Nice to have an appointment free day! I tink difficult child and I will do some schoolwork and then head to the garden center for some tomato plants.

Hope all goes well with the web cam-a nice idea for relatives who can't make a big event.

Enjoy the weekend!

Heading out to get my glasses replaced...they got all bent in my fall a few weeks ago, and the bifocal line is just not where it should be. I feel like the floor is several inches higher on one side. Reminds me of wearing my Nana's glasses when I was little. Miss KT is working tonight, Hubby and #1 and 2 are going to see Ironman, and I haven't decided whether to go to the gym or just sit at home and pet my dog, since no one will be here to yell or fight.

Have a wonderful day!
