Good Wednesday Morning

This morning is absolutely lovely here in central virginia. We have been in the high 90's or low 100's for like two weeks - we are in for a couple of days in the 80's! It feels wonderful outside this morning. I even had my first cup of coffee on the patio

Today's schedule includes getting two guest rooms and guest baths ready for company this weekend - dust and vacuum the rooms, put clean linens on, lay out fresh towels...a quick dust and vacuum of the other upstairs rooms is also on the schedule. Never got to the nail salon yesterday because I ended up at the office until after 5 so that's on the agenda. difficult child and I are also taking a trip to the next county for some fireworks . He and I would also like to see the movie "Grownups". Hopefully we can make a late afternoon show...

I have to run Duckie to a well child visit and then pack and prep for a weekend trip to my cousin's house. So I'll be catching up on laundry and making the house presentable for our cat sitter.

Sharon/LDM, sorry you missed out on getting your nails done yesterday. But then - all that housework could have damage your manicure. Enjoy it today.

TM, you sound like you're heading for a busy day. Enjoy your trip for the weekend.

Last treatment today. On what turned out to be the coldest June morning for 26 years! Or was it 28...? Whichever - it's flamin' cold, for a house with no heating apart from a bar heater in the bathroom, and a small hot box we turn on on rare occasions. I'm seriously considering running the hot box overnight, although once we're in bed, we're warm enough.

I've been wearing my ski jacket today while I catnapped. And a snuggie...

At the treatment today they gave me a new type of dressing to use, the burns are getting blistered and the skin has been coming off. But it's not as bad as for a lot of people, I've come through well. The burns aren't anywhere I'm likely to have sun trouble in summer, it should all be healed by then anyway. I'm having to wear a singlet top carefully to hold the dressings in place. I probably need to get myself a small dressings tray too, to hold the saline I have to soak these new gel dressings in. They're really good, take the sting out.

I got ready for choir tonight, forgot I'd cancelled it for the week. But I showered, changed my dressings with husband's help (I hate having lukewarm showers in such cold weather) and I'm ready for bed after a quiet day.

Tomorrow I see my GP, get a referral for another routine specialist appointment. After that we're taking niece to the airport to collect her friend. We'll also collect some lasagne ingredients, they're planning on cooking it together for dinner tomorrow night. All I need to do is make the pasta (I offered - it's easy). I'll go down to mother in law's to roll out the pasta dough. Any leftover, we can have for dinner on Friday night (when niece and her friend are going to be staying in the city).

Sharon-You'll have to let me know how you like Grown-ups-husband and I have been thinking about going to see it. Enjoy your nails and the fireworks! by the way, we're having great weather here-got down into the 40s last night and calling for 77 today.

TM-Sounds like a busy day for you-be sure to find some "me" time in there.

Marg-Sorry about the burns-ouch! Homemade pasta-yummmmm! Stay warm!

Our router went down on Monday evening so I didn't have access to our computer until today. I think I was starting to go through major withdrawal. Good thing husband had it fixed by the time he went to bed last night-poor thing was working on that and had to get ready for an on-line class-he had work to do but until he had the router up he couldn't do it.

I'm already done with boot camp for the day and now have a therapist appointment in a bit!
