G'day folks. Happy Wednesday! Sharon/LDM, I'm glad difficult child had a great first day of high school. About the car - we had my car in for service today, we got some bad and expensive news. It has to go back in for two days to have a part replaced; it's failing, and if it fails completely before we get it fixed, it will blow up the engine. And I have a long drive tomorrow! TM, I hope Duckie has a good day at school and can stay calm. Jo, I hope easy child can find out what she wants in life. WHo knows? She might do better with the physical demands of police training than you expect! Susie, sounds like a busy day lined up today. We had a quiet day at home, the perfect day to finally give difficult child 3 his English exam (set by the school). He botched it badly. Really badly. He couldn't settle, he was distractible, he was a mess. I was nervous about his ability to focus before we started, but he assured me he would be OK in a minute. But he wasn't. One good thing (and only one good thing) - it will mean no more claims that I've been fudging his work to make him look good! I'm really concerned at what seems to be a sudden deterioration in the last few weeks and months, for difficult child 3 to concentrate on his work and even remember what he has done. It's been increasingly torture. I rang the pediatrician and we have an appointment for next Wednesday morning. If I can't get enough help from the doctor, I'll talk to the therapist on the Friday (two days later) and discuss perhaps a referral to the child psychiatrist in the therapist's clinic. Tomorrow morning I have a very early start - easy child 2/difficult child 2 has had yet another abnormal pap smear and I arranged for her to see a top private gynaecologist ASAP. And she wants her mummy to take her... a 9 am appointment in the centre of Sydney. Yay... Enjoy your Wednesday. Marg
