:coffee: Good Wednesday Morning - hope your coffee is smooth!

I've an exceptionally smooth cup this morning - I have the fire going and am beginning to wake up!!!!

Today is a house day. The painter has finished patching, sanding and painting the hole in my living room ceiling from the broken seal on my guest toilet upstairs (just in time for the house-full this weekend)! So today it's all about dusting, dusting, dusting.....I was able to close off my family room, dining room, kitchen, and play room from the dust but could not seal the foyer or the breakfast room from the sanding dust. So I'll go and give a good dusting and floor cleaning to those rooms before I tackle the living room. Every knick-knack, each lever on the blinds, every picture, moulding, etc., is going to have to be wiped down and the furniture vacuumed. Then I'll have to tackle the hard wood floors!! It should take me the full morning if not most of the day......

difficult child finished all his 9-week assessments yesterday and says he feels good about all of them. He's doing well in all his classes but geography - which is quite a surprise since that subject matter has always been his fav (along with science) - but this is also the teacher I told you guys I thought was a "waste of space" upon my first meeting at back to school night. Think I called it right......I've sent him three emails through the grading system and 2 emails through his school email with no reply.....

Hey, hope your middle of the week is productive and stress-free :salute:

Good Morning All,

Hump day with a day off tomorrow.. YES. not that I can sleep late or anything but still a day to myself.. SHEW. Then tomorrow starts difficult children weekend visit.. she has already texted me asking me to take her to a dance on Saturday night from 8 until 12.. when I was her age I would have so be there, her I am not so fond of going with her behavior so I will have to just wait and see I suppose.

Happy Wednesday to you all... stress free wishes to you.

Well, the Hibernator was up, took her medications, ate some pancakes, and I think has crawled back into bed. :S She had a hissy fit (luckily brief by comparison) yesterday, looks like this will be an up and down week for us, it's getting very obvious when her medications are wearing off. Again. Kid builds tolerance or intolerance to these medications like you wouldn't believe (well, y'all would believe, lol).
Still no word on getting her referred to a specialist by psychiatrist (I'm really not liking that man but he's the only child psychiatrist in 3 counties that accepts her insurance), though there's a customer at work with an autistic son that is talking to the specialist his son goes to and going to see if she'll assess the kiddo without the referral. Talked to principal yesterday and she said the paperwork came in from psychiatric hospital visit (IEP stuff) and they didn't bother to list AS on the diagnosis. I still have no clue exactly what any of the docs are listing as the actual diagnosis other than ODD.
*puts on the I am very not happy and bordering on PO'd face*
Still no word on when kiddo will be screened for IEP or if they'll check her for AS vs NonVerbal Learning Disorder (NVLD) as I requested (in addition to their screening for emotional disability, which I'm now considering to be almost useless since they only have 3 things checked to screen her for in the subsection).

Here's to hoping for a decent day for everyone.

G'day people.

I'm late tonight, been busy (so what's new?).

I did go out today, I found a place that could do my shoulder X-ray and ultrasound. I had to drive almost into the heart of the city for it though, and it was peak hour traffic coming home. Had time for some school phone calls in the morning, booked the car in for new tyre tomorrow and arranged to (I hope) see my doctor about X-ray results some time tomorrow also. Got home (tired!) and catnapped before opera class, wondering when I'm going to get my bookwork done. Opera class - cancelled, the teacher is sick. So back home with the night off - so I got my bookwork done (almost all). I'm too tired to continue but I should get a lot more done in the morning before we go out - difficult child 3 & easy child 2/difficult child 2 have to see the pediatrician. I know it's bizarre, having my married daughter see the pediatrician still...

difficult child 3's schoolwork now moves on to next year. Officially he's not allowed to begin his Year 11 work until next January, but the Year 12 unit starts now. So if he focusses on that until the end of the school year (another month) it should give him a chance to catch up a bit, as well as put in some good work (I hope).

Enjoy your Wednesday.

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon (LDM), A fire in the fireplace and caffeine - I'll be right over, lol...!!! Hope the dusting goes quickly and as painlessly as possible (if that's possible) Your house is going to be absolutely gorgeous when you're finished!

Rabbit, Hope difficult child 3 does well with her busy schedule today!!! Hope you find a bit of time just for yourself...

Re1096, I'm glad that even though you can't sleep late, you have a day to yourself. Hope the visit with difficult child 3 goes well...

HaoZi, Sorry that things aren't going smoothly as far as getting the "Hibernator" an appointment with a specialist, etc... From personal experience, getting the school's SPED department to get off their "butts" was a monumental task... Hope you have better luck than I did. It might help to get an advocate. Unfortunately, the only word our school system understood was "ATTORNEY."

Today is a very windy, damp day. I'm hoping the light rain lets up. I really need to go for a jog. Yesterday I took most of the afternoon off and had lunch with a friend:D. It felt like a "mini-vacation," lol... I have an extra hour and a half to get caught up with work, etc, this afternoon because difficult child 2 has his after school social skills group.

Hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today... SFR
