    Good morning! :coffee:

husband left early this morning for Cleveland so I'm... awake. He'll be home tomorrow night. I think it's going to be a long day!:coffee2:

I have my extra patio furniture to clean and I need to pick up a baby pool for any little ones at Duckie's party on Friday. I'll also be running in Duckie's teacher's gifts to the school today.

Summer vacation is finally almost here! :swimming:

    Have a great day! :salute:

Good morning/evening! - Oh! I beat my Aussie mate in!
    Hope you're feeling better Marg.
I'm High as a Kite on Prednisone and have had a hard time these past couple days.... it's harder to concentrate. My body is physically worn out, but I can't sleep anyways.
so, today I was busy tidying up the house at full speed ready for next week when I have little cherub, AND her two siblings for a week and then cherub stays for a year....
It's been raining on and off all day, and i expect the road is going to be useless by tomorrow afternoon.
I have been doing lots of advanced cooking of meals because having five children to cook for is going to be a challenge when the ages are 20mos, 3, 7, and my own of 12 and 19 and they are all demanding in their own way. I'm sure to stress a little. I also have the fencing etc to do outside as well as the chores. The only consolation is that there are no extra curricular activities to run off for.

Well, have a nice Monday. I'm going to read a book for a while, and have a cuppa and then tackle the next bit of housework.
    first I can't sleep because I can't breathe, now I can't sleep 'cos I can't sleep!

    G'day, people.

TM, enjoy your day. The pool party sounds like it will be a blast!

Trish, I was drafting my reply when you posted. Sorry the prednisone is giving you such trouble. How did little cherub cope over the weekend?

We've had an interesting day. My telephone conference went well and I'm glad we didn't make the trip in. I'm getting better slowly, I should be well enough to go in for next week's meeting. I have to go with difficult child 1 tomorrow to see his new specialist. I've tried telephoning him tonight to remind him; they must be out. I'll have to call him first thing in the morning.

Politically it's been interesting here. There's been a huge fight in our government over whether the Prime Minister sent an email or not about helping a friend of his. Some very harsh words have been uttered over it and now it's looking like some senior officials and politicians are in hot water not just politically, but with the law. The one person who seems to be coming out of this squeaky clean - our fearless leader. By crikey, he's tough! It seems that anyone who wants to throw mud at the moment, had better make sure whose mud it is, and to throw it in the right direction or it will come back all over him. Or to use another analogy I used to husband - if you're going for your political opponent's jugular, you'd better make sure you've got your dentures in!

    Enjoy your Monday.

    Good Morning all.
TM, hope your preparations for the pool party go smoothly. The kids will love it.

Trish, sounds pretty soggy and difficult to drive. Don't work too hard getting ready for cherub and sisters. You will need to be rested for next week. Hope the prednisone is more positive than negative.

husband and I got home from the family reunion yesterday. It was nice to see everyone. The old folks are dropping off quickly which pushes up on the "elderly" pole.

difficult child cared for the house and dogs and did a good job. He is doing it better every time. He even cleaned up behind himself. Baby steps. He invited his new buddy over, picked him up and drove him home. Took some planning but they seem to have a good time and enjoy each other.

Today his caseworker will be over to start his personal life plan. Hopefully, we can identify where he needs their support.

It's hot and sunny but I missed the worst of it while up north for a few days. I'm grateful but can't to get very motivated this AM.

TM, hope your evening with just you and Duckie is enjoyable. I don't think my husband will be home for dinner until Thursday. I feel your pain. : )

Tonight is puppy/owner training. I'm actually enjoying it although I only take one of the pups with me.

Have a productive day. Mondays are laundry and bill writing day. Pretty routine.

    Good Morning,

TM-I hope the day isn't as long as you think. When is the last day of school? Is it all the way til Friday? Wow-your district goes so late.

Trish-Take care of you-you haven't been feeling well at all lately. sorry about the soggy roads-sounds very messy!

    Marg-It does sound interesting politically!

Fran-I'm glad you enjoyed the reunion and that difficult child did well with you gone. Have fun at puppy training!

This has taken me forever for me to type out because difficult child woke up and is complaining and saying he is not going to camp. He is but it doesn't look like it will be fun getting him there.

It is hot and muggy-suppose to get near 90 today and I think I will finally make it to the pool!!!!

In addition I have to get to the health club at some point.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day-hi if you snuck in.:peaceful:

TM--It is so sweet of you to remember teachers this time of year. I hope you and Duckie have a splendid evening together. Yeah for the end of school.

Tish be careful with the steroid. It sent me into mania which led to bacterial pneumonia.

Marg---we've had some similar political stuff in my small town over the actions of the mayor---ugly stuff---

Fran---sounds like difficult child is progressing---like you've always told me, baby steps are still steps forward

WO---hope difficult child gets ready and goes without too much of a battle.

Busy morning here---I've got to take my newest child to an interview for her first job. Fosterdaughtergfg is having a hysterectomy so I need to get to the hospital. PCson is taking a big exam to get certified as a Leed builder and I am sending out good thoughts for him---he is way too hard on himself. Hopefully I will find the time to get to my guy with the mobile greenhouse so I can get some flowers to spruce up the outside of the house.

Tired - My husband was also up and on the road early today. He said "same place as last week". Last week he received a phone call and I couldn't remember what hotel he was staying at to give out the number. So, I made sure I asked him this week. I can't keep up with his travels!

Therese - Well, one good thing, with the rainy weather, you don't have to fret about making the choice of what to do first, inside or outside. The rain makes outdoor chores more difficult so may as well do all your inside chores and wait for the sun to do the outdoor ones. So exciting about little cherub and her siblings.

Marg - Glad you are starting to feel better. The political world is more drama than a teenager's life at time.

Fran - Glad things are going well for you. What a nice weekend!

Wiped Out - I hope difficult child got off without too much complaining. Stay cool in the 90 degrees!

Everywoman - You do have a super busy day today. Hope all goes well with everything.

I need to get going after posting. Have to stop and fill up with gas on the way to work. Diva asked if I could watch bowling buddy this afternoon. He is not scheduled to come until 3:00 and she has a tubbing party to attend. So, I will work until 12:30, take difficult child bowling and back home by 3:00 to watch bowling buddy.

I don't know what is going on with my blood pressure. I usually have on the lower side but when I was at Wal-Mart yesterday I felt it was high so had it tested at that machine. I know the machines are not perfect but a 149/87 has me worried. I don't think the machines are too far off. So, today I will try to get it rechecked somewhere (maybe a nurse at work can help?) and then if this continues will have to make an appointment with my doctor in July.

I hope everyone has a great day and find a way to make your kids laugh.

    Good morning all,

Running behind this morning so I cannot address you all individually ~ sorry.

Contractors are here to put the final touches on the laundry room. Tomorrow the kitchen remodel begins - the one I've been stressing over. I got my new appliances at almost 1/2 off so I remained in budget even though I chose above the budgeted amount.

I have a GP doctor appointment today. It's to be hot & muggy so I'm real glad I got the a/c in my car repaired. I hate getting stuck in downtown traffic in 90+ degree weather & high humidity.

    Have a good one.
