G'day, folks.

I wasn't sure I'd be here by now, I was expecting to be in hospital. I developed another bug at the beginning of the week and the antibiotic shot didn't fix it. My specialist got an emergency appointment with an infection specialist for me today, I'd been warned that my next option would be to go into hospital on antibiotic drip.

But there is a new pill - he prescribed it for me! He said it would probably make me feel sick, but actually, it hasn't, not too much anyway. And it's a lot better than going to hospital, and a LOT better than a shot in the rear.

mother in law has a friend staying with her, a traveller who wants to explore our area. Yesterday we drove her around the village, which she loved, and today because I had to see the specialist I got husband to drop me off there while he continued the tour of "God's Own Country", as many local people call it. So the lady has now seen Captain Cook's landing site, plus Sylvania Waters which was so infamous as reality TV showing the ugly side of Australia to a world hooked on "Neighbours". There was a nasty murder there on Wednesday night, all because an old bloke was watering his lawn and a passer-by thought he was doing it illegally (he wasn't). The passer-by got angry and punched the old man, kept hitting him when he was down and the old boy had a heart attack. Our first case of "water rage".

Last night husband & I had dinner with mother in law and her friend. This evening we're going out to dinner to try our new Chinese restaurant. I figured I'd start the thread now, so I won't miss out.

Marguerite-I'm glad the dr. prescribed the pill and that it is helping-great you were able to avoid the hospital! Very sad about the water rage incident. Enjoy dinner out!

Made it to the club yesterday but only had enough time for weights before I had to leave for difficult child's therapist appointment. Today after school husband and easy child are heading to Chicago for her modeling expo. We are crossing our fingers she gets at least one call back so she isn't too disappointed.

difficult child and I will be on our own. I'm planning a visit to the health club and then hoping to get him to sleep early. He has a trip to the school forest today to do the ropes course so I'm thinking he will be very tired. I plan on also getting to bed early :sleeping:

Sharon, I hope easy child enjoys the modeling expo and you get difficult child to bed EARLY!!! I hope you get lots of zzz's tonight too!!!:sleeping:

Today I have lots of phone calls to make. I've been having problems with our health insurance company, getting people to send referrals on time to specialists, etc... :grrr: Then I have a few errands to run. Also, I've got to pick up a birthday gift for one of easy child's friends. I want to at least have a bit of time to talk to husband's aunt. Then, it's off to pick up the difficult children at school...

As usual, I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today...:flower: WFEN :autumn: :autumn:
