Good morning. It's Monday again

Hi kids. Hard to believe the weekend is over.
difficult child called his new friend and was invited over.(Yay!!). He spent 6 hrs hanging out in the pool and just getting to know friends family. Up until now, difficult child has been the initiator(thanks to my nudging). I think these two may be a good match. It's hopeful. :swimming: He also has plans to visit some of his friends from the NY school in the home of a guy in NJ. They will be getting together to celebrate a birthday. We are glad to see him involved.

After the coffee kicks in, it's time to get out to the park with the pups before it gets too hot. My normal monday is laundry, bills and clearing up from the weekend. Guess I should get moving on the laundry.

Hope your day is enjoyable and productive. Remember there is a 3 day weekend just around the corner. :4thjuly:

Good morning. :coffee:

Fran- I'm so glad that difficult child is developing another friendship. Good for him! Sorry to hear about the laundry and bills, though! They never seem to take a day off. :)

I had a pretty bad IBS attack last night and was laid out until morning. That means husband cleaned the kitchen after dinner. So can you guess where I'm starting today, lol? We also have an appointment for Duckie's yearly check-up to do pre-camp paperwork and a few friends may be stopping by. Plus the new tv and console get delivered between 11 and 1pm.

I guess I'm busier than I thought! :hammer:

Have a great day. Hi to anyone that snuck in. :salute:

Good Morning,

Fran-I love reading about difficult child's progress!! I hope the laundry doesn't take too long. husband started yesterday, it's such a never ending job.

It's cool here this morning, beautiful and nice to have the windows open. The birds, however, are NOISY!! They woke me up way too early this morning.

In a bit I have to take difficult child to camp. He is again saying he won't go, never mind that he loved it last week! After I drop him off I have a therapist appointment and husband has a dentist appointment.

Then it'll be time for a nap or the club. Not sure which will happen first today. I also might mow the lawn but might wait til tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

Good morning all,

Fran, difficult child is becoming a social butterfly ~ I love hearing that side of his progress.

TM, take it easy today ~ sit back & enjoy the new television.

Sharon, your difficult child sounds like my wm. How dare you make him go out & have fun.

A beautiful day in store here ~ no humidity, high 70's. A/C off for the first time in over a week. I've already been out watering my little garden & plants & filling the bird feeders.

The kitchen is under full construction this week. I'm looking forward to having the hardwood floors refinished - don't know how I'll keep Sally or Sam off.
:cool_dog:

Have a good one friends. Hug your loved ones & hopefully you'll find one reason to smile today.

TM sorry to hear about your bout of IBS. It must be so frustrating to be laid low. Hope you recover quickly and get back on your normal fast paced routine. I don't know much about IBS so I don't know if you need a day to bounce back completely. Hugs.
Enjoy your new tv. It's always fun to see something new in your home.

WO, those birds are noisy. I have trees under our bedroom window and they start chattering about 5AM. In the beginning they were waking the dogs which in turn woke me up. Now I try to ignore them and roll over until 6. The pups have been relegated to the kitchen, mudroom and garage at night. They seem to sleep better and I know I do.
Hope difficult child enjoys camp.
How's easy child doing? Is she still hating her time away?
Enjoy your day without children. Even cutting grass is enjoyable when the pressure of difficult child's and teen easy child's isn't hanging over you. I think times like this really help to recharge you for when they return home.

Thanks about difficult child. He is trying even though it's difficult to initiate with peers since they all seem to have social skills issues too. Some of the responses to difficult child's invitations have been pretty frustrating to difficult child. Asking a girl out on a date is equally frustrating.
He keeps trying. It's the marathon and not the sprint.

G'day, folks.

Fran, it's good news about difficult child and his friend. I love it when friendships work out for our difficult children.

TM, sorry to hear about the IBS. Nasty stuff.

Sharon/WO, I hope difficult child makes it to cap. Anxiety really is the pits.

Linda, enjoy your garden today. Are you going to be able to do any painting?

A quick g'day from me for Monday, I found out while at the school today that difficult child 3 has a study day there tomorrow. If I'd known maybe I'd have had him stayhome today instead of coming with me. However... he did get a hands-on lesson from one teacher and got on with other work outside the room where I was in a meeting.

So my planned rest tomorrow - not happening. Back into the city again. This time no meeting, I'll just sit and catnap outside the classroom while difficult child 3 is having a group lesson.

Then out again on Wednesday to see a specialist. If I finish with the specialist in time I'll have a dash to the heart of Sydney for a game show audition. Maybe I'm crazy, but if I get in, I get a free trip to Melbourne (always an adventure) with a 20% chance of winning at least $1000, possibly a lot more.

So I need to rest, but I also need to swot up on my weak topic areas (sports questions).

I came home after today's meeting and got into my PJ's. On the way home I saw my GP to get my prescriptions sorted out (two weks overdue). She also drew the bloods I needed to have done and has ordered a chest X-ray to finally look to see how much damage I've done to my ribs. I'm hoping Occupational Therapist (OT) fit it in tomorrow.

We'll fiinish in at difficult child 3's school by lunchtime, but there's no point going home because we'd have to come back out for his drama class in the evening. So I'll get some shopping done and hopefully the X-ray plus hopefully another catnap. The car is VERY comfortable!

Phone calls to make, stuff to organise - lots to do. I just need to do it without exerting myself physically.

Time to head for bed, it's already very late.

G'night. Have a productive Monday.

Hhi all

Hope your day is lovely.
I survived the weekend with the three extra cherubs. My little cherub was so happy to have her siblings along.
Baby is rather delayed, hardly any eye contact, no speech, walking (just), and just content to sit and be cuddled or sit... she's 21 months.
Little boy will be 3 next week, and has the sylmptoms of encopresis. Will see if natural laxatives (prunes for brekky) will help, but he seems to have no idea about sitting and doing on the pot. Will do wee though, which is a beginning.
Little cherub is impacted, so we begin the severe regime today to try and unstuff that, andn then start 'the program' again.
Tonight we all met up with bio mum for dinner, before comign home and getting bogged in our road... so I had to ferry them all down through the mud and get them bedded, before contacting road assistance.
All three are here till Friday, then cherub begins her year with me, home for weekends.
The prednisone is wearing off, as I taper it, so I'm praying that I won't have a full relapse before the cherubs go home...perhaps I'll get a medical review before it's too late to turn back...
My DS has been very helpful these past few days, and he will follow up on his resume, with a possible further interview this week.... would be lovely to have him settled in his new career before I make further plans to move...... that's the next chapter..... HAVE A GREAT DAY I had better go to bed...
