G'day, people.
The sun was out today in Sydney, but it's still cold. Once the sun goes down, the temperature drops.
I had a houseful today, although they were mostly quiet. As usual easy child 2/difficult child 2 & BF2 stayed quietly out in their sleep-out, only invading the kitchen to forage and graze. difficult child 1 emerged early (woken by me) because it was his monthly day off and he had business to attend to (I need to post separately). I also kept an eye on difficult child 3's schoolwork and also managed to fit in another massage session on my torn muscle.
It's after sunset now, I'm about to head for the kitchen to get dinner happening - a Chinese stir-fry, chicken, with whatever vegetables I have handy. Beyond that I'm not sure what I'll do exactly, as usual I will invent it as I go. husband will help me cook it when he gets home, I just finely slice the meat, put it in my invented marinade, cut up the vegetables and put each lot into different wooden bowls which I line up in order of when to add them. We put rice on to cook in the microwave oven just as we start to do the stir-fry. By the time the large wok is full of a finished chicken and vegetables meal, the rice is done and the blokes (plus me) can come and fill their faces. Plenty for everyone.
easy child 2/difficult child 2 is at college class tonight, so I can add ingredients she won't eat. I also need to get something else for difficult child 3 - he won't eat stir-fried meals.
Evenings can be busy here, but the aim is to keep the difficult children as well-fed as possible so they will give me some peace.
Tomorrow easy child 2/difficult child 2 & BF2 want me to go with them to check out the lease on their new flat. I'm using it as a bargaining chip to get her to do something for me for a change. I'm also sorting out more bureaucracy bungles on difficult child 1's behalf - I'm getting to really loathe government agencies! I'm also trying to organise a Learning Team Meeting for difficult child 3, we've not had one in three years because technically, as a correspondence student, it hasn't been available.
It will be a busy, interesting day tomorrow.
Just like every day!
Enjoy your Monday.
