Good Morning!

Sharon-I think my difficult child did not get the message! I'm sure I'll be letting him know:)

Southernmama-Hope the weather is better now and you are able to catch up on some sleep.

We have very icy roads here this morning. Most schools are starting two hours late but not our SD. Due to buses we aren't allowed to start late (we use city buses for middle and high school). So I'm off to school in a bit. Hopefully here in the city the roads won't be awful.

After work difficult child has a therapist appointment. and then I'm making fish tacos for dinner (new recipe).

Wishing all a peaceful day!

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon (LDM), Thanks for that  this morning. Hope the beginning of your week is off to a good start too...

southermama3 Hope your weather improves soon - Stay safe!

husband and I had a fun weekend. Saturday night was date night and we went to a nearby casino, had dinner, and played a few slot machines. Definitely not big time gamblers - I played mostly the penny slots and when I lost $20, called it quits, lol... Sunday was a lazy day, read the paper, watched the game, just relaxed... I could get used to this!

The weather has been interesting here. Friday night it snowed, turned to freezing rain, and was very cold. Yesterday warmed up into the high forties, low fifties, and this morning it's pouring out and even warmer. The weather has sort of been like a difficult child - Never know what to expect...

I need some more coffee and have some cleaning up to do. My "favorite sanity saver" tracked mud throughout the apartment. Have to let it dry and then get out the vacuum.

Hope everyone has a good day... SFR

MORNING! Hi guys, stay safe with all the weather stuff.

Hey Sharon, think there is any way to make Q think this was an order from the government or something??? YOU MUST not meltdown today or else....

Well, I suppose that would backfire on me anyway... he would get all stressed out. He told me all weekend he is planning on this being his miracle week..... (he says that all the time)

I hope everyone has a mellow day. Just one nice mellow day would be great!

We actually had a pretty good morning today, other than me forgetting to give my difficult child her Adderall XR (whoops) so I'm sure this evening will be hard. Has anyone else ever forgotten to give medications? I feel bad but not trying to beat myself up over it. She is only on 10mg so I'm not sure it will be a huge effect. This isn't the first time I have forgotten but I'm normally very good at remembering. My fiance usually does the "morning shift" but since he is staying with grandparents for a while, it slipped my mind.

only when he was little.... and I think we talked here one time that even worse, one time I took his medications...Just that automatic, pills were in my hand (and I took medications in the a.m. too at that point) and I took Ritalin. Luckily it was the short acting kind. DUH.

I do remember his therapy place calling and asking...and sure enough I had forgotten his medications.... They did get to see the real him though and some there had been telling me that once he was completely thru Occupational Therapist (OT) treatment he wouldn't need medications... I think they realized the difference between primary sensory integration disorder and this kid who had a brain injury going on... LOL they never brought it up again.

If that ever happened now, he would not make it thru the day. Probably would be picking him up in a few seconds. Would not be good for sure, LOL.

Hey Buddy, don't know if you'll see this or not, but when my difficult child was little and would say he didn't want to go to school, I would tell him that missing too many days makes the law come after me because the President says all kids have to go to school. He was very much threatened by the idea of his mother being taken away in cuffs!!!!!!!!

LOL! Q HATES to miss school. He loves it so much....loves his routine and I dont know why because they suck right now in my humble opinion, but he always wants to try and he loves his "friends" who are really not friends but he thinks they are.

If he ever thought he had a chance for ME to be taken away in cuffs he would do whatever he could to make that happen. I am used to it.

SO, our chance of a no meltdown monday melted away. The ship sailed, the train left, and the fat lady sang.

All that is left to do is cry.
