Good Morning! :coffee:

It's hard to believe that it's the middle of the week already! I'll be doing more housework and then picking up Duckie early from school for a doctor appointment about the big bulls eye bug bites she came home school with yesterday. Then she has a play date a little later. :)

Have a great day! :salute:

G'day.

TM, those large bites sound scary. I hope the doctor can work out what they are. I hope they're not chiggers... that itches like crazy, for ages.

Im still struggling with this cough. I rang the doctor to make appointments today, mostly for easy child 2/difficult child 2 and difficult child 1. Then they rang me back with my latest test results, "the doctor wants you to come in, she needs to change your medication."

I can't think what she needs to change my medication TO, that's why I'm seeing the allergy specialist in a couple of weeks' time.

difficult child 1's appointment with the doctor is tomorrow also, I'll stick around and go in with him. He just needs her to write a referral for his new specialist. His pediatrician wrote a referral back in January, but specialist referrals expire after 6 months. Also, sounds like difficult child 3 is having trouble with social security peopleagain, turns out that they haven't got his marriage logged and now claim that difficult child 1 & daughter in law were trying to put one over on them (not true - I was there when we all told the social security people about the marriage). Then the computers in the place got re-set and they have lost any evidence that difficult child 1 is an Aussie citizen. It's bizarre - THEY lose the computer files and try to blame difficult child 1! This department is supposed to be there to help people with disabilities or other problems. The people they most have to deal with, are the ones least equipped to cope with bureaucratic bungling. I feel another bunfight coming on...

Maybe I'll just go in there and BREATHE on them!

Depending on how I'm feeling tomorrow, I might drop in with difficult child 1 afgter we see the doctor... of course, THIS time I'll wear a mask, it should scare the crud out of them.

Enjoy your Wednesday, everyone.

GOOD MORNING
.
:tongue::tongue::tongue:

Tired - I hope those bites don't cause too many problems for Duckie.

Marg - Good luck with docs and government officials. Too bad the social security people couldn't be civil about it and work on it as a problem that happened witht the computers instead of immediate trouble making.

I am up earlier than I want to be. The weather woke me up. It sounds nasty out there with thunder, rain, wind. I am very glad I have extra time to get difficult child up to Fargo today. I am more concerned with tomorrow's weather. The computer forcasts thunderstorms every single hour from now through Friday morning (and most likley beyond). Diva has a one hour drive to a doctors appointment on roads she is not familiar with. I may take the day off tomorrow to drive her myself.

The rain last night interferred in difficult child's double header baseball game. That and the pictures were cancelled. Pictures need to be rescheduled. Now I have team colored tableware that I will need to find another time to use. Maybe at our first official playoff games? That was our only double header and will not be rescheduled.

The neighbor kids (12 yr old H and his 8 yr old sister S) spent much of the day with difficult child yesterday. At one point I needed to go tell them all to come in out of the tent because it was lightening out. What a downpour! I will have to check the rain gauge.

I finally sent the kids home about 8:30 and 1/2 hr later the girl and mom walked up our driveway. I knew something was wrong, something had happened. The girl had taken a small stuffed animal from our house. I could tell she was having a very hard time apologizing. She really was sorry. I just said, "It doesn't feel good does it?" She looks at me with these huge eyes of regret and shook her head "no".

Everyone have a great day and find a way to make your kids laugh.

Just a quick hello, these late Wednesday night for me/Marg.
In case you have missed me (doubtful) just got out of hospital today - what a drama.

I took little cherub for her doctor's appointment at the children's hospital and ended up collapsing and being admitted myself!

On the weekend Little cherub disclosed further about sexual abuse, so although I was quite ill and should really have been admitted on the weekend, I felt it important to struggle on till the appointment.

Made sure bio mum talked about the matter, and then added my tuppence worth. Wow! It's really getting stressful.
Have already had talks with police and there is going to be an interview this week with a likely seizure of cherub and possibly her two siblings. Praying they will take the least traumatic route and let me take them in for interim anyway.

So, my little daughter turned 12 yesterday, and I was stuck in hospital. She hada nice day with my friend, and sang for the local nursing home again, they made a big fuss of her also....

We're glad to all be together again.
DS was a little unfazed, and insists he won't need to get up early to do chores in the morning, guess who will?

Have a lovely Wednesday. Temperature is dropping, so I should toddle off to bed soon, I guess.

TM, I hope Duckie's bug bites are nothing serious and she enjoys the play date.

Marg, As always, I hope you and everyone else who is sick in your family gets well ASAP!!! I can't imagine how frustrating this must be... As far as as the social security office, I vote you wear a mask, lol... That ought to get their attention:mad:... Within seconds, difficult child 1 will once again be an Aussie citizen.

Today is supposed to be a bright, beautiful,:sunny: sunny day. As soon as the caffeine kicks in, I'm going for a jog. This is beginning to become a habit:D (Fran, I'm glad I motivated you a little the other day:D)

So many transitions happening around here. difficult child 1's apartment is ready early. We're moving him in this Saturday. easy child should find out, hopefully today, if she got her first choice as her major for next fall. We've got our fingers crossed... The hearing for difficult child 2 has once again, been delayed - No surprise:mad: Anyway, with any luck, he'll be starting a new school sometime in the fall... husband is trying to adjust to a more mellow lifestyle - He's beginning to have some trouble with this. And, for me, time is just passing so quickly. I just want time to stand still for one day... Maybe, I'll get a break in a few weeks... I think I need a few days at the beach once difficult child 2 starts day camp.:beach:

Well, enough deep thoughts for this morning. I've got to get moving soon. Then it's off to work before picking up difficult child 2 at school, difficult child 1 at the office, and easy child later on - She's staying after school and taking the late bus - I have to drive across town to get her.

At least I know what is for dinner - Fish, salad and oven roasted potatoes. Now I just have to remember to pick up the fish, lol...

As always, I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today... WFEN

Andy, I hope all the rain stops soon!!! I like the idea of using the team colored tableware for the first official playoff games.

Therese005us, You have your hands full!!! Between Little Cherub being abused sexually, you collapsing and ending up in the hospital, etc... I hope you're feeling better now. I'm glad her birthday was happy in spite of everything. Please take care of yourself!!! Sending lots of healing, positive thoughts your way... Hugs...

Sorry I missed both of you this a.m. My fingers are a bit stiff this morning and my typing is slow... WFEN

Good Morning,

TM-I hope the bites are figured out and that Duckie has fun on her play date!

Marg-It's a shame that difficult child 1 is having so many problems still. I was rofl about you breathing on them!! I do so wish you were feeling better.

Andy-What yucky weather! I hope things clear up there!

Therese-Be sure to take care of you-it's sad about your little cherub. Your daughter and my son share the same birth date. He also turned 12 yesterday.

WFEN-I'm glad you are getting out jogging. It's good you are fitting it in with everything else you have going on. Wish we could meet at a beach!! I haven't even been to the pool yet this summer.

Well we survived difficult child's birthday yesterday. Poor husband, difficult child was hanging on him all day yesterday. He also kept asking for more things. Usually he is more greateful on his birthday and holidays. We did take him to the health club yesterday. He struggled but he did end up biking 4.5 miles!

This morning difficult child has a therapist appointment. This afternoon I have a dentist appointment and husband is headed to lunch and a movie with his sister who is in town visiting. He really needs some time away, from difficult child especially so this will be good.

At some point we will squeeze in the health club and a nap!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

Good morning all,

Sorry I cannot respond to each of you this morning. . . my piano instructor will be in @ 10; PCA @ 9; plumbers & carpenter @ 8:30 & I need to get my exercise/strength training in & get showered before the crowd comes.

Other than piano there's nothing on my agenda. It's to be a stormy day so I may be able to just spend time working on my drawing of foxgloves. I may even paint it then - ohhhh what a luxury.

Have a fun day. Hope the sun is shining by you.
