:coffee: Good Morning Friends,

The morning post is startingn a little late this Saturday morning - I guess Marg is having a busy Saturday, Linda is enjoying her respite, and Sharon is football bound!

Not too busy a day here. easy child and I have our class at the gym at 9. One swipe of the vacuum upstairs then I'm done with the housework since I dedicated my Friday to it! difficult child wants to go and see of the costume store has a Spartan cotume for Halloween, then my cousin is coming for a little cookout.

Of course easy child will be at the concert with her boy

Oh, I did sleep a little extra this morning because I HAVE AC :bravo:

They finished about 8:30 last night! Went ahead and replaced the outside condensing unit as well. It is kickin-cool upstairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great Satuday all :thumb:

Good morning. :coffee:
Duckie is supposed to start dance this morning and we're supposed to head out to a festival this afternoon. But Duckie wasn't feeling too well last night, complaining of a sniffly nose & a mild tummy ache. Ugh!!! Hopefully she'll bounce back this morning. :princess:
Have a great day. :salute:

Good Morning all.
Sharon, glad the a/c is working. Nothing like being able to breathe when you sleep. Enjoy your cookout.

TM, hope Duckie is feeling better. Poor honey.

I'm in Day 2 of the moving sale. yikes! there were a lot of people in and out. Sold a lot but still have big ticket items. My sister and a friend are coming today to help out. After the sale, it's to difficult child's apt to make sure it's empty and clean so we can get the security deposit. Tomorrow more house sale and then home to Raleigh for about 12days. I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

difficult child is watching the pups. He is doing a good job. He called to say they are rubbing their heads on him. I'm pleased that he seems very affectionate and attentive.

easy child is feeling a little lonely and nervous. He thinks he is going to fail. I recognize the behavior from husband. It's their motivating thinking. easy child did go to the wellness center where you can discuss these sorts of worry. I'm trying to step back and just make suggestions of how he can fix it. A big problem for easy child is that he won't drink or go to parties where there is alcohol. Consequently he feels left out. I suggested he try to get a group who feels the same to do something else. Lots of things in NYC to do that don't involve alcohol.

So back to the moving sale prep. You meet some wonderful people though. Have a good day.

G'day, all. Yes, definitely having a busy time, Sharon. I'm glad your a/c is working at last - just in time for the cooler weather, eh?

And TM, I hope Duckie feels well soon and is able to go to her dance class.

Fran, all the best for the sale, I hope you get to shift those big ticket items.

I've not been around for a couple of days, things have been hectic. But nice hectic.

Yesterday was my annual outing with best friend, she buys us the tickets to go to a show of some sort, somewhere in Sydney. Usually a play. Just the two of us. We did take a few others a couple of years ago when we went to see Topol in "Fiddler on the Roof", but we've decided we prefer having our time together where we can have a meal, a chat, some time out.
So yesterday was it - and every time, we do something which turns out to be different. We saw the play "Miracles at Cookie's Table" at Stable Theatre, right in Kings Cross in Sydney. Think - Soho. We had dinner at a handy Swiss restaurant and just chatted and joked for two hours, until it was time to get to the theatre. A late night - midnight when I got home, and a big day coming up.

And to today - a family reunion for my brothers and sisters, their kids and THEIR kids. Not everybody could make it - my eldest brother was unable to fly down from Brisbane, nor were any of his family. It took us 90 minutes to drive there - a great improvement thanks to the new automatic tollways. We only installed the Etag last weekend and we've now used it three times - it pays the toll for us each time we use the tollways - automatic debit. Progress can be scary.

But we all had a wonderful day seeing family. My kids have always been wary, since they are the youngest of their generation and always felt they were treated like babies. This time they were finally on equal turf, they felt. One of my nephews there today came from Darwin specially, I haven't seen him in over ten years! He's doing well - no longer a car mechanic though, since a hoist failed and a Greyhound bus fell on him... he's got most of the use of his arm back though. They breed 'em tough in my family. He now works with air conditioning units, I should have sent him to you, Sharon.

One of my nieces brought her face paints and sculpture balloons - I brought my face paints too, so she and easy child 2/difficult child 2 did balloon sculpture while I painted the faces of my numerous great-nieces and -nephews.

We got home right on dinner time, I had to quickly throw together a large meal for our regular horde and this is the first chance I've had (apart from a stolen five minutes earlier) to finally sit down and catch up with you all.

Tomorrow it's Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) again - tiny trains. (Integrated Listening Systems (ILS).org) I told husband I'd go but I'm still not sure, I might make up my mind in the morning. difficult child 3 is reluctant and I really should get some rest - I have to go out on Monday too, to see a specialist. Four days out in a row could be asking for trouble, for me.

But the last couple of days have been such great fun...

Yay, Sharon! I love AC, especially when it allows us to sleep. It is worth its weight in gold.

Good luck with-the moving sale, Fran. I do not envy you.

Ew, Jen, so sorry about your lower back. been there done that. Ice 20 min., every 2 hrs. Do laundry? I don't THINK so!!!

I am walking around with-a cut on the bridge of my nose that just stopped bleeding, and it's bruising up. I was sitting on the floor, putting on socks, and my half blind collie was barking and frisky. I barked back. He got so excited, he charged me like a linebacker, and rammed his needle nose straight into the middle of my glasses! He was so shocked he ran out of the room, tail between his legs. Half a dozen bloody tissues and a nice pair of contact lenses later, I am ready to face the day. I was going to take him to difficult child's baseball game but now I'm not so sure ... His caffeinated name, Starbucks, is well earned.
