Good Morning All,

It is frigid here this morning. It's 8 below and we're expecting 25 below windchills throughout the day. :coldday: On the bright side this should be the last of the really cold days for a bit. By the weekend our temps are suppose to soar into the 30s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:happyguy:

Not a lot on tap today. After work difficult child has a therapist appointment but husband is taking him. He is also taking him to wrestling practice tonight. I plan to get in a workout!:treadmill:

I hope everyone has a peaceful day and stay warm!

:beautifulthing: Good Thursday Morning Everyone!!!!!

Sharon, glad to hear your temps are on the rise . Our weatherman said last night that we might make it to the 60's next week :water_happy:!! Glad you have some "me" time for your workout and such. Your weekend is fast approaching!!

Good Moring! One more day until the weekend begins :jumphappy:. I have a few things around the house that I want to finish up before going in to the office. I'll probably go in around 11 or so and then work until 2:30 when I will pick up difficult child and take him to his quarterly psychiatrist appointment.

Wishing everyone a great Thursday - find your reason to smile .

:good_morning:friends & warrior parents,

Sharon, I'm looking forward to the warming trend on tap for the weekend myself. It's been a long cold spell.

Sharon, good luck to difficult child at psychiatrist appointment - hope all is status quo.

Again, wrapped in my quilt this morning :coldday:& sipping my :coffee2: looking for that jumpstart to the day.

I've a GP appointment this morning - blood pressure check & blood work that Mayo Clinic requested we track over the next couple of months. So - we be doing it. :nurse:

After that the obligatory nap & I plan on painting all afternoon. I've been working on a view of my living room looking out the front windows. It's actually a quite relaxing area - never noticed it until I started sketching it a few weeks back & decided to paint it. :painter: I'm using a different medium I've never used this time around - water color pencils. Should prove to be an interesting experiment.

Enjoy your Thursday friends. I hope you day goes smoothly & there are no outbursts of anger, meltdowns or rages in store today. Hug your loved ones & look for at least one reason to smile today. :flower:

G'day, people.

Wiped/Sharon - crikey, with temperatures like that I wouldn't be leaving the house! I don't know how you do it! Go safely. husband just asked me to check - do you really mean -8F, or 8F below freezing (ie 24F)? Either's horrible, but -8F is ghastly! I could stand 24F, where we stayed in NZ last winter, the temps dropped to 24F or thereabouts. No biggie (apart from being stranded because the roads weren't safe).

LDM/Sharon, sounds like a pleasant, short workday today. Hope the appointment goes well.

We had an 'interesting' day. I slept in - soundly - husband had to wake me to take my medications, at a time when I've usually been awake for hours.
Then the doctor's receptionist/husband rang. She wanted to see me. The doctor, that is. I knew why - my liver isn't good. But I didn't realise how bad it was - the worst test results I've ever had, and I remember doctors panicking last time, when my GGT was below 800. This time it's heading for 900 and rising fast, I've had tests done three times in the last month and each time they've been several hundreds higher.
And we don't know why - all possible toxins have been eliminated. I don't drink.
So I'm having an urgent ultrasound in the morning, then we get back to the GP in the afternoon with the results. She's sending me to the same specialist easy child 2/difficult child 2 sees, at this rate I'll be in hospital before easy child 2/difficult child 2's gastroscopy next week.

This morning we were relaxing and enjoying husband's time off work. It was a lovely sunny summer day, I was looking forward to getting difficult child 3 to the beach again. No chance. Tomorrow (Friday) it's rushing around all over again! difficult child 3's birthday on Saturday, I was hoping to organise a few friends to visit for an impromptu party, Sat or Sun. Plus easy child & BF1 are supposed to be passing through on their move north from Canberra to Newcastle.

Why does this always happen when we're busy?

I'll keep you all posted. Enjoy your Thursday.

Good Morning Everyone:coffee:,

Sharon, I hope you manage to stay warm!!! Think summery thoughts... :beach_ball:...

Sharon, I hope everything goes well at difficult child's psychiatrist appointment. I'm glad your looking forward to the weekend - Do you have something exciting planned?

Linda, Enjoy your afternoon painting:painter:...

Marg, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and hoping the doctors will quickly find out what is wrong and get you back on your feet ASAP!!! I know, things always seem to happen at the worst possible moments...Try to RELAX...:bath: and let your family take care of you.

Today I have a few errands to run. Then I have to drop by the school. I can't believe I did this, BUT I misplaced difficult child 2's recent Speech/Language evaluation that I asked the school to do.:hammer: It was a piece of garbage, BUT still, I need my copy of it!!!

After school, it's lots of driving for me because of after school and evening activities. At least tonight is difficult child 1's last night of classroom instruction for Driver's Ed. However, I don't know if I'm really too excited about this. When I think of him behind the wheel, all I see is :crazydriver::devil:... As husband says, it's better that he gain experience now (almost 17!!!), rather than when he doesn't live with us anymore...Maybe not being able to predict the future is a good thing...

As always, I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today...:flower: WFEN

Wishing,

No, nothing special planned - I just love the weekend because I can sleep till 7 and don't have to worry about carpools, homework, etc. I also try and get my all my work done around the house so that I don't have any errands to run, laundry to do, or housework. Life is on the "spur of the molment" when the weekend arrives :woohoo:.

Good Morning, Ya'll!:good_morning:

It's even cold down here in the Lone Star State, not to mention WET!:coldday:

My dogs have been muddy for a week now and it looks like they'll be muddy for at least another week.:cool_dog:

That means my wood floors desperately need to be cleaned but there is really no point now is there?:happyguy:

Well, everyone is out of the house, even husband who usually works from home.:woohoo:

It is blissfully quiet and I plan to do as close to nothing as possible.:beautifulthing:

Here's to a Kool-Aid free day!:coffee:

Good Morning guys, I made the long drive to the texas side of the gulf. It's warmer than home but is overcast, brisk and occasionally rainy. Suits reading books and working in the house. All of which is what I want to do.
The kids(pups) are wildly sniffing everything on the beach. They would love nothing more to just all out run the beach. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they wouldn't be lost and the rules are they are to be leashed. So we walk fast and chase sea gulls, sniff crab holes and dig sand. It's a good way to spend the early morning for me.

Hope you have a peaceful day. Keep a good thought for difficult child as he starts his first part time job. I don't get many details but difficult child is happy enough.
