Good Morning Friends,

Right now there is light rain outside but it is suppose to clear up and be sunny. Today they are calling for 69 so it should be beautiful. Tomorrow they are calling for 80 degrees:) I can't remember the last time it was 80!

No appts after school today so husband and I will head straight to the health club. Then I'm going to try a new recipe, baked beer battered tilapia sp? I never make fish so I hope this turns out!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

Good morning everyone!

Sharon, that tilapia recipe sounds wonderful! Hope the weather turns out to be as beautiful as forecasted.

Today is the last day of my long-distance co-worker's site visit. Turns out that he's as lovely in person as he's been on teleconferences all this time, and it's been great for my local team to meet him.

AND! as a bonus, I don't have a single work meeting scheduled. So I can sit at my desk and do work! (My favourite sort of work day)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Wiped Out - Enjoy your appointmentless day. So nice to have those! The fish sounds yummy!

Trinity - It is so nice to have good/friendly co-workers. Enjoy your meetingless day today. I always look forward to uninterupted time when I can bury myself in the stack of work and actually plow through.

Today I am hoping for one of those uninterrupted days. I started a project yesterday that I am suppose to be doing weekly but takes me about 3 to 4 days to get through on a good week. It is one of my favorite tasks because when things come in right, I get to cross accounts off my to-do-list.

My meeting yesterday went until 3:45. I had a friend drop difficult child off at the bowling alley after school. When I arrived, he said, "Mom, you are a few minutes late, I just started my seventh game." I couldn't believe he could play 6 games in 1/2 hour. He could only come up with four scores for me and played a total of nine games. When I went to pay, they said, the machine says he only played seven games so he has one free one coming. That is why he couldn't remember the other two scores - he didn't have them.

We then went shopping for poster boards and markers. difficult child spent the night completing his report/presentation on the capybara (world's largest rodent). husband had called so we got his password for his computer which is hooked up to a colored printer. difficult child found and printed out several pictures and created two folded boards of information. I showed him how to type the headings of sections and titles of pictures in color. It is not due until tomorrow but he was so into it he did all the work last night. When he does presentations, he also includes a Thank You listing which had his teacher for the information (teacher gives each student one or two printouts of info on their chosen subject), mom for supplies, and dad for the use of his computer and printer.

Everyone have a great day and find a way to make your kids laugh.

Good morning. :coffee:

Sharon- Enjoy your "free" day and the tilapia!

Trinity- My husband would strongly consider murder in order to have a day without meetings.

Andy- I hope your project stays on track.

Duckie has a half day today and we take one of our kitties to the vet for shots. Our weather will be a bit better today (in the 50's) but we will get into the 70's tomorrow. We also have gymnastics later. Other than that, it's just cleaning and laundry. Again.

Have a great day! :salute:

G'day, folk.

Sharon/WO, I'm assuming tilapia is a kind of fish? I hope the beer batter works well.

Trinity, I'm glad your long distance co-worker has turned out to be so easy to work with. It makes it a much more productive session for everyone.

Andy, difficult child's project sounds like a really good effort. He sounds like he really learned a lot while doing it too, which is good.

TM, enjoy the warmer weather. I've gotmy cleaning, laundry & cooking day tomorrow.

I've had a really busy day. I had two specialists to see and did some shopping in between. mother in law came along too for the ride, she pottered around at the mall while I walked over to the medical centre to see specialist No 2.

Specialist no 1 was the rheumatologist - has cut back the prednisone a little but won't stop it. As a concession to concerns about side effects, he has ordered blood tests.
Specialist No 2 said I look great, but my muscle tone is down and he's NOT happy. I have to go back in a month, it's unheard of for him to want to see me again so soon. I was his last patient, he spent an hour working me over. Lucky I know him well - it was still disconcerting to be told, "OK, strip off and get on the couch."

Our weather is rapidly getting wintry. It wasn't too cold today but it was oscillating between watery sunshine and drizzle. Our overnight temperatures are rapidly reaching full-on winter levels. I'm anxiously watching the regional forecast to see what the weather will be like for easy child's wedding in just over a week. The ceremony is schedule to be under the trees by the lake and she's hoping it will be calm enough for her to arrive by her uncle's yacht. So far so good... husband is working on his speech at the moment.

Today mother in law & I were making meal plans for when her daughter arrives with her family, for the wedding. A lot of people to feed.

I've invited difficult child 1 & daughter in law, & easy child 2/difficult child 2 & BF2 for dinner tomrrow night. I have a lot of cooking to do, to get ready and have meals frozen for convenience for next week and our to-ing and fro-ing.

The neurologist told me that simply standing at the stove cooking, is good exercise. I'm heading for a major workout tomorrow!

Enjoy your Thursday.
