Happy Thursday Everyone! Sharon, snow - oh no, say it isn't so... It's way toooo early ! I hope you can get the laptop back in working order very soon. It's amazing how much we depend on them. Crusty cod... mmm.... I know you all will enjoy that. You will be so happy when you house is completed. Rabbit, I hope that difficult child 3 decides on a less challenging path today... hang in there. Trish, So sorry to hear about the fire. It's too bad we can't send some of our incredibly rainy weather your way. So sorry about cherub as well. I know she appreciates your phone calls. I hope that the wind dies down. We've been super busy here with yet another home renovation project. We're replacing the tile floors in our bathrooms, repainting, and redoing our backyard. We do have illusions of selling our house once the market picks back up , and we want to be ready. Of course husband is on a business trip to San Francisco and I'm here with the workmen and the toilet that broke down last night.. some of us get all of the luck. difficult child is dutifully going off to college every day, and seems to like it. Of course, there is no longer any parent feedback for us - so we won't know how things are going until the grades come in! I'm not sure which I prefer - the constant calls of high school or the suspense of college :-) My employer has decided to drop the HMO that we have used for 20 years, so we're in the process of scoping out new doctors. I think I'd much rather change jobs than doctors, we've become very attached to ours over the years. Not only are we changing insurance, but the price is doubling! When you add that to our mandatory furlough days - ouch. But, I am aware that I'm lucky to still have a job - so I won't be complaining too much! I'm hoping to sneak in a workout out the YMCA today. It's still rainy, cold, and dreary here today - maybe tomorrow will be better! Have a wonderful day everyone, with some quiet peaceful moments for yourselves. Valerie
