Hi, Janna. I hope you can find some lucrative work with tourist season coming up. As for my eyebrow trim, I need to defend husband - he says he didn't notice, probably because they weren't as bad as I thought they were. And it's not just blarney - while he doesn't notice things if they don't stand out really obviously, he WILL tell me if he DOES notice. And to his credit (maybe it's menopause) but for once, the used cloth strips on the sink did NOT look like dead mice... so maybe he's right, they weren't that bad. I'm about to head for bed. Just watched "Bridezillas" - I gather the program is at least a year old but it's the first time it's aired in Australia. From what I saw, it looks like our network is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Tell me - do people really have wedding rehearsal dinners? Like it's a party or something? Any wedding rehearsal I've ever been to, was an informal half hour walk-through a night or two before the wedding, to make sure we knew how quickly or slowly to walk down the aisle, when to kneel, sit, stand or whatever. We'd turn up to the church, do the practice, then go home again. Just the bridal party and maybe bride's parents. We didn't even have a rehearsal for difficult child 1's wedding. The first time I saw a "rehearsal dinner" or similar, was in "My Best Friend's Wedding". And I thought that was a big affair just because the bride's parents were wealthy society people (as in, any excuse for a party). Looks like another cultural difference. "Ellen" has just started. It's the episode with Portia de Rossi, we've been seeing snippets of the interview for the last couple of days. Looks interesting, but I need to go to bed. It's late and I didn't sleep well last night. Maybe it's the late hour, or maybe I'm just shallow - but I want a waistcoat like Ellen's. Just in time for our winter. I think I need to get back to the sewing machine... Marg
