Good morning and St Paddy's Day for those who celebrate. with-O, glad you have decent weather and the capri's are starting to look tempting. I'm so tickled for easy child that I hope the track really becomes something she can sink her teeth into. What a wonderful sport for women who have lots of things to think about. It clears the mind. LDM, I love the girl's cousins weekend. I am envious of your get together. I am not close to my cousins since the parents weren't close. (part of the reason we siblings try to keep close). I hope you have a wonderful time. Hope you start to feel better. Marguerite, Customarily, we have the groom's family put on a rehearsal dinner the night before for the wedding party. The rehearsal isn't that long but the dinner is separate from the church. It is the custom in my part of the world. It seems that weddings have really gone over the top in the last 10 yrs. Wonder if that will change with the economy. It's bizarre. So much energy into the wedding with books, gowns, check lists and planners but little thought into the marriage. In my little world it makes no sense. Hopefully, the world outside of our borders doesn't think the majority of Americans are quite that nutty. My cousins in Italy once remarked that American weddings were thought of as was on the show "Dallas"!!!!! I was shocked! Weddings like people come in all sizes and shapes and styles. Formal, informal, elopement, all are much more acceptable than when I was a kid where church and reception were pretty much written in stone. Good news with difficult child. His agency that will do the job coaching, vo tech help has finally contacted difficult child. He will meet with us next Tuesday. Wish us luck. Also, difficult child is doing really well. Contributing to the household happily with work and running errands. He cleaned up the kitchen last night after dinner and for the first time actually scrubbed the pots. Before cleaning the kitchen consisted of loading dishwasher. I was really impressed. We have cut out his morning Geodon (as per doctors. order) So far so good. He is just much more reasonable to talk to and more than a little starved for peer interaction. All in all it's a good turn of events. Now I'm off to run errands and finish up laundry from yesterday before mom returns from Dallas. Have a good Tuesday.
