G'day people. SHaron/WO, stay safe in the high winds. I hope easy child/difficult child takes your advice and plays it safe. TM, sorry your IBS is playing up again. Go gently with yourself. Weather-wise today was warm but cool weather is forecast. It's still a warm evening and outside I can hear several possums playing and calling to one another. One just landed on the roof - it sounds like a group of kids getting up to mischief. We had a bit of a lazy day today as far as schoolwork went. I had to see my GP (getting a referral) so we had to go out late morning and it wasn't worth going back home again, when we'd have to come out for drama class later on. Meanwhile my phone was running hot with phone calls from a specialist at the hospital who was kicking heads over last week's surgical SNAFU for easy child 2/difficult child 2. Looks like surgery has been hastily rescheduled for early next week. All we have to wait for now is confirmation from admissions. Fingers crossed! The message I've been getting (reason for the mess) is a nervous nellie of a doctor, who despite claiming to be conscientious about my daughter's welfare, obviously wasn't conscientious enough to do his job properly and read his notes when he's supposed to. Meanwhile the GP today has some ideas on how to sort out a few other related problems. New medical developments should make it easier. husband had blood tests done three years ago and got inconclusive results. Seems we should be more easily able to get the information we need now. I had some time to wait in between all this, and thankfully had my laptop with me, so I got some work done too. I've got a lot to do over the next few weeks. I had a meeting tonight to begin organising our village carols service. After one meeting I'm desperately trying to find ways to get out of it. There are a few strong personalities who I know, from past experience, don't listen to others or learn from them. I have so many other projects, I'd rather expend my energy where it can be most productive; better than banging my head against the wall! Enjoy your Tuesday. Marg
