Good Wednesday Morning!

Good morning. :coffee:

The kitties are obviously confused about the time because they woke me awfully early to be fed. Grrr. Plus, I wasn't sleeping well because of an IBS attack, so it looks like I'll be dragging later. :bloodshot:

Duckie has also been tossing and turning too... I hope she gets through her day okay. She's finally off the oral steroid so that just leaves Zyrtec, amoxicillin, Nasonex & Asmanex daily for now. :doctor:

My bff will be coming by to color my hair, I have some cleaning, some calls for cheer and a few errands to run. So maybe I'll get a nap in? :please:

Have a great day! :salute:

Good Morning Friends,

Once again we are at the middle of the week. It somehow feels it should be the end of the week;) It's going to be a cool day here but I was looking at the forecast and right now it looks like one day next week it will only be in the 40s and there is snow in the forecast-probably just flurries but still!

After work today difficult child and I both have therapist appts. and tonight easy child is cheering in her last game. I think husband might go because difficult child was not well behaved at the last game so we don't want to take him again. I don't like the idea of the middle of the week game because I don't see how easy child is going to get her work done.

Wishing everyone a day filled with reasons to smile and laugh.:peaceful:

G'day, everybody.

TM, I can relate to misbehaving critturs. The budgies were mischievous today; difficult child 3 put his metal Tazo tops on the play gym and we had a giggle watching the budgies pick them up and deliberately drop them over the edge to watch them fall. I made difficult child 3 clean up the room tonight, picking up the Tazo tops as well as sweeping up the debris from chewing the branches we put there for them to play with. I love the birds, but they do need watching.

Sharon/WO, I hope easy child enjoys the game. Last of the season already!

Rabbit, here's hoping your daughter does well on the program.

What ghastly weather today! The coldest October day for Sydney for 48 years or something similar. Tomorrow is my washing and cooking day, and if it's still raining then I don't know where I'll put the laundry. Cold, very windy, snow on the Blue Mountains (quite heavy fall, from the news coverage) while we had intermittent hailstorms. I drove difficult child 3 out to his drama class tonight, we got home and found we'd had another power break. More than ten minutes, less than 30 (based on what appliances were still working and what were not).

difficult child 3 isn't working well at the moment, is talking non-stop on his own obsessions. Listening to music today in the car - difficult child 3 was playing a selection of music mostly gleaned from various computer games. He keeps asking me if I can recognise a piece of music when I wouldn't have a clue, I don't play those games. He just can't understand that while I may have an encyclopedic knowledge of music in general, I don't share the same mental files that he does.
We met an old classmate and his mother this afternoon and listening to the conversation made me worry - difficult child 3 is just so far behind his classmate, it's a worry. Watching difficult child 3 trying to talk to his old friend was like pulling teeth even though difficult child 3 was happy to talk. He's just not good at conversation. I think I need to call the specialist again tomorrow.

Because we were out late, I met up with husband and we bought takeaway. We also met up with easy child 2/difficult child 2 & BF2 - handed over mail and passed on info about a circus gig she's been offered. I've got a bit of homework to do over it, I've added it to my "to do" list.

I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight - definitely a night to snuggle under the doona, listening to the wind howl outside. Brrr!

Enjoy your Wednesday.

:frozen: Snow, did I hear someone say snow???!!!!:frostbite:

TM, sorry the kitties woke you up so early. I forgot that I had been listening to my radio yesterday afternoon and had the volume up. When the alarm went off at 5 this morning, the Eagles "Take it Easy was blaring!!! Not an "easy" way to start the day! I don't know TM, your day sounds a little busy for a nap unless it's a five minute one! Hope the hair comes out great!

Sharon, it was you wasn't it? You were the one who mentioned snow?! You are not supposed to work me up like that :sled:!! You know that I am crazy about that white stuff. Our temps are cool too, but not cold - don't forget our deal - you always send me some. Wishing easy child a great last day. She has really enjoyed the cheering hasn't she? Sorry husband has to sit this one out but.......life with a difficult child! Hope your day is great!

Rabbit, good morning to you! Hope the program offers your daughter a new, positive beginning. Have a good day.

I have the gym this morning then I'm not sure what I'll do. I know it sounds crazy, but I've been thinking about the holidays. I've already picked up a few things - but with the economy that way it is, I don't want to charge anything! I believe I will sit down and do some thinking about gift exchanging ideas.

Keep it warm everyone :peaceful:

GOOD MORNING

Tired - In a few weeks we can all catch up on sleep with the daylight savings change. It never seems to come soon enough. I hope Duckie has a good day. Have fun with your bff. I bought a hair color box but easy child is ticked off with me so it may be awhile before she does my hair.

Wiped Out - Last game already! Do you have a special dinner or maybe dessert when she gets home to celebrate her fun season?

Rabbit - Your week will zoom on by. I hope that you all find a benefit in the day program.

Marg - I think it is time for me to find a place to send this year's snow. Is the Blue Mountain available to store our snow that we have a snowless winter here? Sorry to hear about difficult child 3. Hopefully the call to the doctor will have some answers.

Little Dude's Mom - "I'm not listening" (about anything to do with snow!) Marg said there is some in the Blue Mountain. I think someone else mentioned flurries. You can get your holiday cards addresed and signed. A exchange is fun especially when the giver is creative - it is all in the presentation/why and not the gift itself.

It is raining out. husband called me at 6:30. He will be home Thursday night or maybe Friday. He wants to go to the "farm" again Friday night but he needs to first help easy child with her next speech homework or get the camcorder set up for me. It is due postmarked on Saturday. easy child needs to find an audience of 10 people. I told her to round up her friends and see if we can use the library meeting room for 20 minutes.

Last night easy child was at a nearby town (30 miles away). I couldn't sleep until she got home. It was raining and her little car hydroplanes easily. She made it home o.k.

It is still raining out. I just went out to check on difficult child. He took puppy out and for probably the first time, puppy willingly went into the rain. I asked difficult child to gather her up and not be out too long. I don't want him to get sick. I suppose a warm shower when he gets in will help.

Today I get to help with the 2nd grader's social study class! :) difficult child has tutoring tonight and I think that is it. I told difficult child I would try to get him more pumpkin leaf bags. He and the neighbor boy were raking leaves last night.

Everyone have a great day! Find a way to make your difficult child laugh!

Good Morning Everyone:coffee:,

TM, I hope you and Duckie are feeling better. Hope you manage to get a nap too. Enjoy the visit with your BFF while getting your hair done. You deserve some quality "me" time.

Sharon (WO), SNOW???!!! Not yet, I'm definitely not ready!!! I'm FREEZING today and it is just damp and drizzly here. We actually had to turn the heat on. The thermostat is set for 65 degrees. We were trying to hold out until Nov. 1st.

Rabbit, I hope your daughter does will in the hospital day program.

Marg, I also worry about difficult child 2 not being able to hold an appropriate conversation with peers. I hope difficult child 3's specialist has some ideas that will help. I think our difficult children always look less "typical" when away from home. I think we get used to seeing them at home and some of their unusual
mannerisms sort of become "normal" to us. I don't know if this makes any sense - I need more caffeine!!!

Sharon (LDM), I'm also thinking about the holidays. I'm also concerned about charging things. I know I'm going to send less cards this year, cut down quite a bit on holiday spending, and try to convince husband that the kids are old enough to understand that we can't afford as many gifts as usual. It's unfortunate that the true meaning of the holidays seems to get lost as kids get caught up in all of the advertising.

Today I need to get caught up on some housework. I really need to attack my bedroom closet. I'm thinking about making a big pot of soup. Also, I've got to confirm that a repair person will be at my house tomorrow. We've been without a clothes dryer for over two weeks. It's getting way too cold to hang things outside.

As always, I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today...:2cold::witchcrafting::coffee::coffee: WFEN

Adrianne,

Didn't mean to leave you out. I'm glad easy child made it home safely last night. My "favorite sanity saver" hates the rain!!! I'm glad your puppy went out willingly. My dog refuses to go outside unless one of us is out there with her getting drenched too. I hope difficult child and the neighborhood kids do a great job raking your lawn.

Have a great day!!! WFEN
