Goodbye, Cadence rat

Miss KT's rat has been fading these last few days, and was having trouble breathing this morning. She was 3 1/2 years old. I miss her already and we just got back from the vet's.

This is the worst part of having a pet.

I'm sorry That's a decent run for a rat. Our last one lived the same number of years. My kids were really upset when it happened, but she had a tumor and it started to interfere with her breathing. I hope KT isn't too upset over it.

Sorry for your loss. I've had pet rats and I know how special they can be. She had a pretty long run for a rat but that does not make losing her any easier.

Oh, I'm so sorry--we rescued difficult child 1's pet rat from the apt. she and boyfriend abandoned and he only lived about 9 months after that but we got so attached. I really grieved for him and missed him. Hugs to you and Miss KT!
