OK...she's been home about a week. Whine, complain, whine..."I don't have any room for my stuff...Dad's a hoarder...I can't put anything away..." Fine, then, let's clean. We cleared out Hubby's bookcase of assorted who-knows-what, put stuff in a bin, wiped the bookcase down, and filled it with my books. Picked up various piles of newspapers, receipts, etc. Filled nearly two bags for freecycle.
And in Miss KT's room...we moved her bins of stuff, moved the two two-drawer oak filing cabinets (breaking one in the process), and are continuing the "sort and toss" program after she gets back from the dentist. We still need to move her bed so she can begin sorting out her dressers to put her stuff away.
I am amazed at the amount of stuff I now have piled up in the middle of the living room, and of the amount of dust we've kicked up. My throat is swelling up, and I just took a benadryl. Hope it works fast.
